The Goodie Mob is back together again and all is right with the world!!? Yesterday all four members climbed aboard a “Special” MARTA bus assigned to tour nothing but the southside. *sigh* The memories…?? Besides the fact the I was having my own personal flashbacks about Mays High circa 1997 1987 *cough* oops I mean…hell y’all already know I been around these parts for quite some time. I ain’t shame! But besides all that, T-Mo, Khujo, Gipp & Cee-Lo each had their own personal stories to tell about life growing up on the southside of Atlanta.

DJ Drama was designated as MARTA bus M.C and announced each stop in his signature fashion. Tour stops included The Rec at West Manor Park, Mays High School and of course the infamous “Dungeon” where the ATLien’s spit rhymes and created those soulful beats that our city is so famous for.
Goodie Mob take a moment to reflect in front of the “Dungeon” ~ Rico Wade’s now vacant home.
The final stop woulda/shoulda been Greenbriar Mall but I think we dwelled a lil too long in front of Rico Wade’s former diggs. The house which holds many memories of Dungeon Family antics now sits vacant and lonely. Toni Braxton was spotted taking in the sights in New York during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and she looks AMAZING! Toni’s apparently been hitting the gym getting ready for some major press. You see, Toni’s about the hit the comeback trail after a 4 year hiatus and her new single “Yesterday” should hit airwaves in just a few days (September 18th).
I’m anxiously awaiting her new release. She’s been quite busy though, performing in Vegas…being a wife…and most importantly raising an autistic child and speaking out against the disease. You may have even seen her in the “Autism Speaks” spots on television:
Her upcoming album is entitled Pulse and is scheduled for a February 2010 release.? I guess this new single will have to hold us fans for a while. Check out Toni Braxton’s new single “Yesterday” below:
Whitney Houston’s Oprah interview yesterday had everyone talking about her Bobby Brown revelations. In part two there’s much of the same, in addtion to her performance for Oprah’s studio audience. I still think she’s putting way to much emphasis on Bobby but this time she also discusses how it affected their daughter, Bobbi Kristina. She also reveals how her mother, Sissy Houston, intervened to save her life. Oprah really did her thing in this interview by allowing Whitney to discuss the hard decisions that she made to seek recovery from her addictions. Suffering from both an addiction to both her husband and a foreign substance, Whitney chose to run and never come back.

I have a special place in my heart for Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston because of all their cracky antics around the city of Atlanta. And anyone who knows me is aware of how I feel about how Whitney blames Bobby for her downfall. (Click Here to watch Whitney’s revelations about Bobby on Oprah).
Bobby was just a young piece of meat when he got caught up with Whitney and it’s my personal assumption that she molded HIM into the man he is today. No one knows the truth about the situation but Whitney & Bobby but all I’m sayin is….don’t let Whitney’s new teeth fool you.
Bobby felt the need to respond to his ex-wife recently and I don’t think he’s willing to take the blame for corrupting the multi-billion dollar corporation that is “Whitney Houston.”? Bobby says that contrary to popular belief it wasn’t all his fault…they “corrupted each other.”? Bobby seemed quite clean & sober in the video, as well as diplomatic. I give him mad props for keepin it classy…. this time.

Kanye’s significant other, Amber Rose has been photographed in Elle Magazine’s October Issue. Amber has come quite a ways while dating Mr. West. Talk about upgrading…. Anyway, weeks before his MTV fiasco with Taylor Swift, Kanye opted to play stylist to his in-house play thing. The result is a spread featuring Amber spread eagled, in crotch and ass-baring poses wearing booty shorts and thongs.
Amber explains in the mag that she’s “not like his Barbie” and cites their clash over what she should wear to the 125th Anniversary Gala of the Met back in March as evidence. Kanye wanted her to wear a gown to the formal event but Amber opted for a white cocktail dress with a thigh-high slit. Whatever the case, this crazy relationship is obviously benefiting them both right now. Kanye has someone who can wear the clothes he always wanted to wear and Amber’s got a key to fame.
