Jay-Z hit up the Oprah Winfrey Show today and almost everyone I know, including myself, rushed home to see it.? Oprah visisted Jay’s childhood home in the Marcy projects in New York and also followed him around as CEO of Rockafella. What I found most interesting about the show was Oprah & Jay-Z’s discussion about the use of the “N” word in rap songs. As we know, O is not real tolerant of rappers (ask Ludacris) but she allowed Jay-Z to have his say on the matter. In the end, they agreed to disagree with both making valid points on the subject.

I only wish that Oprah would have devoted the entire hour to Jay, the 2nd half of the show was devoted to Barbara Streisand and it was like apples & oranges. I guess we, the hip-hop generation, should be a bit grateful that she’s finally letting us in. At least she’s trying…
