Kandi Burruss has decided to dedicate her next album to the internet. Since joining the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi has been the hot topic throughout the blogosphere. All the chatter about her engagement to Ashely “AJ” Jewel combined with all of the gossip about her past romantic relationships on the Atlanta Music scene inspired the title of her upcoming album, “B.L.O.G.” Which means…B*tches Love Online Gossip <~~ I LOVE IT!? Kandi discussed the concept of her new album with Essence Magazine where she states:
“I came up with the concept based on things that were going that were relevant to what’s going on in my life now including the show and what things have been written about me and my fianc?e by bloggers,” she admits. “The whole album isn’t about the show but there are definitely songs inspired from the show like “Fly Above,” and “It Must Be Good.”
“B.L.O.G.,” which is scheduled for a September release, will also feature “Superwoman,” a duet and anthem for single mothers with Burruss’s dear friend, former Xscape member and T.I.’s fianc?e, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle. Other guest artists include Rick Ross, Gucci Man and Rashieda.
What perfect timing for a new CD! The 2nd season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta begins next week and Kandi’s first few episodes are said to be quite explosive. Check out a sneak peak of Kandi’s first appearance on the show and also a tour of her home. Video below:
Meet Edwin Robles, 53. Edwin was arrested in Jonesboro last weekend for allegedly having sex with his dog and faces a felony bestiality charge. Police went to Robles? home after receiving a tip from the Osceola County Sheriff?s Department in Florida, according to Lt. Rebecca Brown with Clayton police.
Officers went to the man’s home at 3059 Players Drive, and they say they saw enough to arrest him and charge him. He is charged with one act of bestiality and was booked into the Clayton County Jail.

D’Angelo used to be the sh*t…personified. Especially after his 1995 video sensation “How Does It Feel” hit the airwaves showcasing those thug corn rows, his sexy brown skin, those washboard abs…. *sigh* yes…he did the dayum thing! Jame Foxx even spoofed the video on his show back in the day:
Now, I don’t know about you, but there has never been another video that celebrated the Black male form moreso than D’Angelo’s. That being said, years later (2005 to be exact) this arrest photo totally ruined the lives of all us who were salivating over D’Angelo, aka Michael Eugene Archer‘s, tight form. The singer was arrested and plead no contest to a felony cocaine-possession charge. A week later he suffered a nasty car wreck?his Hummer ran off the road and flipped, and he was taken to the hospital in a helicopter. In 2006, Gary Harris, the record executive who first signed him, carted him off to rehab and in 2008, Virgin Records released a greatest-hits album.? In lieu of all the drama, D’Angelo has appeared as a guest musician here and there, but D?Angelo (circa 1995), the groundbreaking musician, has been all but absent from the scene.
Wonder what he’s been doing now? Check out an update below: Continue Reading…
Sad news has been traveling around the net this morning that famed author and Atlanta resident, E. Lynn Harris has passed away at the age of 54.? According to The Arkansas Times Harris had been suffering through an undisclosed illness and that his personal assistant had confirmed an unspecified health event:
E. Lynn Harris, the best-selling Arkansas author known for contemporary stories about African-Americans, died today during a West Coast book tour. His personal assistant confirmed an unspecified health event this morning, but said she was awaiting word from the scene before providing specifics.
Harris, a best-seller whose work dealt with black, gay culture and delved into athletics, was a passionate Razorbacks fan. Born in Michigan, Harris grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he was the school’s first black cheerleader. He continued to be a diehard Razorback fan. He has taught adjunct courses in the English department, most recently last fall.
Harris’ was on a book tour promoting his 11th novel, “Basketball Jones”, which involves an NBA player and the player’s gay lover. Prior to “Basketball Jones,” Harris penned “Just Too Good To Be True,” a novel detailing the life of Heisman Trophy candidate Brady Manning. Harris’ novel focused on the pressures surrounding Manning and the support system the star athlete leaned on to help him through dark and troubling times.
I’m hoping this is a rumor but it doesn’t look good at this point.? I’ll definitely keep you guys updated.
Ok…is it me or is Usher showing ‘fever’ in his cover shot for Vegas Magazine? The necklace, the v-neck…that look. *sigh* The July/August issue? hits stands next week and Ush is the first male on the cover of mag in its entire six years in production (I guess that explains the pearls 😕 ). In the issue, Usher talks about his new fragrance Usher VIP (his third fragrance with Elizabeth Arden), recording sessions in Vegas, and his upcoming album and more. He even discusses how he plans on being back real lovemaking music for the masses:
“The sex in music, the good sex in music, the lovemaking in music, we’ve begun to depart from it. Right now it’s all about hitting it and quitting it. I think there are a ton of women out there who want to be made love to and want to have that song going that they really want to make love to.”
“In time I’m going to grow older, but I hope that I can be remembered for being a great father to my sons, a gentleman, a renaissance man.”
