Somebody sent me this pic and said it was Saaphyri’s mugshot….now..ummmmm I know weave and make-up make a difference, but I’m not buying it! Especially since it was also on MediaFakeOut! But there is a teensy bit of resemblance there.

This may or may not be her mugshot, but it’s TRUE that Saaphyri is currently incarcerated.? Word is, she was recently sentenced to 3 years in prison after she failed to attend a Nov 2005 sentencing hearing for a previous charge.

The Nov 2005 sentencing was for an arrest and charge that Saaphyri stole her uncle?s identity and incurred debts of several thousand dollars. Saaphyri allegedly paid for breast implants with her stolen identity alias and she pleaded no contest to the charges but failed to show up for sentencing in Nov 2005. She was on the lam for a while but was caught in LA in Nov 2008 when she was stopped for driving with an invalid license. Saaphyri was sentenced to jail time, plus payment for restitution, fines and fees, amounting to $8500. (Source 1 and 2)
