While most people were watching the Lakers beat the Celtics tonight, the Tony Awards were airing on CBS.? I’m not a big awards show watcher, but I did want to see the final outcome of Whoopi’s dress, which was designed by Project Runway’s Christian Siriano, who sketched up his vision live on “The View”.??Bravo Christian! You?actually made Whoopi look good!!?
Yet another mugshot for my collection.? Now the wives are getting in on all the action.? This morning, Snoop Dogg’s better half, Shante Broadus, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence:
The wife of Grammy-nominated rap artist Snoop Dogg was arrested in Fullerton early Saturday on suspicion of drunk driving, police said.
Shante Broadus, 32, was stopped by police near Highland and Orangethorpe avenues about 12:15 a.m. and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, said Fullerton Police Lt. Craig Brower.
Broadus, a resident of Sherman Oaks, was taken to Fullerton City Jail, where she was booked, issued a citation to appear in court and released, Brower said.
He said Broadus would appear in court next month.
Brower could not comment on why officers stopped Broadus, the vehicle she was driving or whether other people were in the vehicle. (Source)

The verdict is in.? It took only two days for a jury to decide R. Kelly’s fate in his child-pornography trial. Their decision: NOT GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS! 😯 The prosecution’s case was described as “weak” and the jury did not believe the witnesses.
Some of that doubt came from the questionable motives of the people who came forward to ID the people on the tape, including the girl’s aunt Stephanie “Sparkle” Edwards, whom the singer’s lawyers described as bitter over a bad business deal with the singer, and former Kelly mistress Lisa Van Allen, whom defense attorneys accused of attempting to extort $300,000 from them in order not to testify. Kelly’s team said there had been a conspiracy afoot to create a fake sex tape, and these women were suspect. ?(More)
