Talented movie producer Will Packer proposed to his longtime girlfriend over the weekend during the 2013 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
Packer kneeled on the stage of the Mercedes Benz Superdome before his lady love in front of over 40,000 fans packed into the Mercedes Benz Superdome, Packer got down on bended knee to pop the big question.
“We met four years ago, here at ESSENCE,” said Packer. “Heather, you changed my life. You make me happier than words can express.”

I luvs me some Will Packer!
[Sidebar: I had no idea Will was divorced. For the record, Packer’s ex-wife Nina Packer, was once general manager of Bryant Management (the artist management firm for Lil Wayne and his YMCMB label).]
But I digress…
Packer rose to fame in the ’90s and early ’00s after forming Atlanta based film company “Rainforest Films,” alongside business Rob Hardy.
Rainforest, created back in 1994, is responsible for a slew of your favorite Urban films, including Stomp the Yard (2007), Three Can Play That Game (2008), Takers (2011) and Think Like A Man (2012).
They’ve also founded “BounceTV,” the first African American broadcast network, featuring a programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, sporting events, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-network series, original programming and more.
Packer is currently working on ‘Think Like a Man Too’, which is scheduled to debut in 2014.
Congratulations again to the happy couple!
