I received several phone calls and quite a few emails last night about Lackey’s ‘drunk & disorderly’ condition after he argued with bartenders downtown at the Twelve in Atlantic Station who didn’t want him driving in his condition.
Staff at the Twelve reportedly debated about calling the authorities but apparently James slipped out and into his truck before a decision could be made.
When he tried to drive off inebriated, he hit a few curbs and flattened both tires on the right side of his vehicle. Thankfully, no one was hurt!

subject: SOME TEAS ON USHER LITTLE BRO!I went to the 12 downtown to watch the grammys with my friend and James was there at the bar DRUNK AS A SKUNK!
He got his party started early with drinks and whatever else because the show was almost over when he got there and he was loud and obnoxious. The bartenders didn’t even want to serve him but I think he got someone to order drinks for him because his hand was never empty.
It was clear that JLac was f***ked up because he was slurring his words and stumbling around but I don’t think he was with anyone in particular.
Then he couldn’t get another drink so he got up to leave and almost bust his ass. It was a sad sight to see but we were just concerned about him driving in his condition.
The bartenders debated for a while about calling the police but James was already behind the wheel of his black SUV!
We watched as he missed the driveway exit and hit the curb so hard that he bust out 2 of his tires. I thought he was going to keep going but he turned the truck around and went back into the turnaround at the Twelve where he sat for about an hour with his hazzard lights on.
I think somebody came and got him out of the car because the SUV sat empty on 2 flat tires for hours in front of the Twelve.
It was still there when I left and I took these pictures.
Just for the record… it’s not the first time James has been DUI.
There are no reports of an arrest last night, but Lackey was jailed on a DUI charge back in 2009 in Dekalb County where he posed for THIS MUGSHOT.
James has also been jailed before on domestic violence charges but clearly one thing has nothing to do with the other.
As far as Usher is concerend, Lackey is merely his “half” brother and it seems Ursh is letting him crash & burn on his own. Let’s just hope Usher’s lil bro gets it together soon.

I don’t think him being his half brother has anything to do with it. This man is clearly grown and someone can only be saved if they want saving. What I’m saying is not exclusive to Usher. It’s fact that there has been and probably always be sexual abuse everywhere you go, with the entertainment industry being no exception. Billy Preston’s story is one of many that proves that. My comment is less about Usher and and Puff and more about shedding light on the larger issue. Adults have to deal with the pressures of the director’s couch and such. Now imagine what children have to deal with…recognize the unfortunate, yet common themes in the stories of most former child entertainers.

However, this is a topic about his drunk brother, and Usher’s sexuality, things that have perceived to have happened to him and many others is a topic that has been beaten into the ground endlessly until someone steps forward to say otherwise. You talk as if you are trying to enlighten us, who said we needed you to do that? Sad to hear about this b/c I only hear people talking about the bad things Usher’s brother gets into and not the fact that he is a talented producer. There are alot of songs he has produced for Usher so for the post to indicate that Usher doesn’t care about his brother is weird to me. On instagram Usher has posted plenty of pictures with his brother and his neice as well. I have also (in interviews) never heard Usher refer to his brother as his half brother. They both grew up together and have the same mother. How is it perceived that they are so distant?

What the hell is half? Same mother, they’re sibling. If that’s the case damn near all of us are half. Growing up in the same house from infancy to adult with mom is sibling. Technically it might be half but mentally and emotionally brother and sister. Jeez, who started that half mess!
That is not a new phrase. It’s been around forever, but because there are seldom any households where all (or even most of) the children have the same father anymore, it’s slowly becoming an artifact.
It was the norm when the opposite was true…when most of the children were fathered by the same man.
That’s a shame about the brother…hopefully he gets it together; Usher really isn’t responsible for this guy’s poor decisions.

Dag ya’ll really went in on that "half" comment. Sorry but I side with Michelle. If you have different fathers then your are half sibliings regardless if you grew up in the same house hold. In the eyes of the law you are half because if the fathers are around that is too different checks. That doesnt take away from your love for each other or calling each other brother or sister, but none the less their are different fathers. All the love in the world doesnt erase that fact unless the new husband adopts them both as his own.

Actually the term refers to biology. Half siblings share the DNA of one parent. It can be the mother or the father. Siblings who share the DNA of the same two parents are full siblings.
But I agree, it shouldn’t take away the love you have for each other.

Usher has ALWAYS supported James, so to say he is merely his half brother says he’s not as important as a he would be if they shared the same parents..whether Michelle meant that or not, that’s how it reads..to me at least
