I was the first to spill the tea that Kenya Moore would be the new addition on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and even then everyone gave me the side-eye.

It’s no secret that I gloat when I’m right. And when I spill this TEA right here… you all will probably be looking just as perplexed.
When Kenya joined RHOA, she didn’t hold any of the 3 criteria of an official “housewife” i.e. Relationship, Family (kids), Career. Clearly husband’s are optional, but baby daddy’s count in the relationship section. But I digress…

Miss I Wanna Be An Atlanta Housewife Miss USA Kenya only had one. Career. And I heard that she literally begged to be considered for the show because she needed the check. Point… blank…. period.
Moore was apparently told that her “relationship” issue was a factor and Kenya is rumored to have assured casting that she had a suitor on deck and they were on the road to marriage.

For those of you around town who know Walter this won’t be a surprise, but for all others: WARNING! Spoiler alert!
Of course you know Walter wasn’t Kenya’s first choice.
Her first mark was former Atlanta Falcons player Jamal Anderson, whom she dated off and on a few years back.

Being somewhat of an Atlanta celeb himself, Jamal’s real life issues didn’t jive with Moore’s plans for a spectacular RHOA wedding.
Walter on the other hand was perfect.
He was an “average” guy, who was pretty well known around Atlanta. He’s even dated a few friends of mine, so trust me when I tell you, Walter is NOT an actor.
Those facial expressions Walter gives you on the show are apparently genuine.
Walter didn’t have a clue that Kenya was actually trying to get him to marry her so that she could have a real live RHOA on-air wedding like Cynthia Bailey & Peter Thomas.
Walter’s motivation for appearing on the show was a little bit simpler. He’s rumored to have said that he felt kicking it with the former Miss USA would up his stock… and it probably did. (CLICK HERE to meet ONE of Walter’s many young conquests).
RHOA filmed all the couples in Anguilla last Summer and I heard that it was there that Walter was finally let in on Kenya’s “wedding” plans.
Apparently Peter Thomas said something to him along the lines of, ‘if you don’t ask her here, it’s a wrap for you two,‘ to which Walter looked DEAD into the cameras (a huge no-no!) and said something like ‘well I may as well pack it up now’!
I’m paraphrasing of course but hopefully the conversation doesn’t end up on the editing room floor.
I heard… Kenya got so pissed at Walter’s blatant diss that she tried to embarrass him on national television by proclaiming to the cameras (and again… I’m paraphrasing)…
“I know why Walter doesn’t want me. I’ve been keeping his secret. He’s Gay!”
Ummm…. ma’am! You are in violation. One thing that man is NOT is gay… trust. We’ve heard stories about Mr. Walter Jackson, and none of them were from a gay man!

Kim’s role on RHOA was to be the mistress, in which she played well. They wanted her on the show to simply stir up drama, but obviously that faded, so she had to to come up with something or else she was going to get booted. Plain and simple. Okay, yes, it was obvious that their relationship was fake and we all know Kenya’s problems.
However, we need to address Walter. He is using the platform for free publicity so big deal if he is also being used. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

I don’t know this for sure, but I would agree that SF is the most gay city. But there are not very many here that are on the DL. Every gay person I know came to SF so they no longer had to be on the DL. It’s a very different dynamic than in Atlanta. It’s so liberal that no one has to hide. If someone is hiding or on the DL, that is considered stupid and people roll their eyes at that. Especially when there is a district like the Castro that is dedicated to gays and they can all reside there freely in peace. The men do not dress up like women because there is no need to. They are just regular boring everyday gays out in the open minding their own business. They aren’t very flamboyant with it. Even during gay pride, it’s nothing like Atlanta.
i’m originally from san francisco and now i live in the atl metro area…sf has PLENTY of gay men…however, gay men in s.f. typically stay in the gay neighborhood of the city, the castro…obviously they eat, drink, work, where ever but you don’t see the "gay lifestyle" unless you are in that particular neighborhood. i lived in SF almost my entire life and i can count on ONE hand how many times i’ve seen a gay guy at the mall in high heels, a gay guy in full face make up with a fade..in other words ‘flamboyance’ to an extreme level unless it was gay pride weekend or whatever. it’sjust not like that in San Francisco. it’s low key unless youre in the castro. In ATLANTA…i’ve seen flamboyantly gay men/boys in make up, heels, t shirts tied up to their navel, etc at Walmarts, the malls, grocery stores, MARTA…everywhere, and i’ve only been here 6 months. i don’t have a problem with either experience, i am just calling it how it is.
Not on the MARTA..too funny. I got a vision of the Midtown train station crowd and couldn’t stop laughing.
and in reference to what mz. cali said…i know what you’re getting at however, what i like about Atlanta is that i see more college educated/oriented black people, black business owners, black successful people in general…a lot of blk ppl with money here act like super new money though and its not cute. i guess its because theyre surrounded by so many ngas that aint got shyt that they feel the need to be obnoxious about what they do have.

Kenya’s whole hook-up is fake. It was obvious that she was desperate to get on RHOA. Any old washed-up celeb that get on these reality shows are looking for a comeback and paycheck.
