If you haven’t heard by now, Shad Moss aka Bow Wow has got himself a job!
The YMCMB rapper has been declared as one of the new hosts of BET’s 106 & Park (watch video).
While that should be great news for the ‘gangsta’ rapper who recently survived a scandal of epidemic proportions when a vicious umor spread that he was boo’d up with another dude, it’s way better news for his baby mama.
A judge is now making Bow Wow pay the back child support for his 1-year-old daughter Shai. Monies that he originally claimed he couldn’t afford as an “employee of Cash Money Records”…

Bow Wow has just been ordered to pay child support and according to TMZ, he withheld some critical financial information from the judge.
Bow Wow and baby mama Joie Chavis were in court Monday, fighting over exactly how much Bow Wow is worth and how much he has to pay. After some haggling, Bow Wow voluntarily agreed to shell out $3,000 a month in support for baby Shai.
Bow Wow told the judge … he makes $4,000 a month working as an employee at Cash Money Records, and that’s it. He testified he leases a Jeep and has a grand total of $1,500 in his checking account.
So here’s the question — if he makes $4,000 a month before taxes, how can he afford to pay $3,000 a month in child support?
We’ll here’s an answer … After the court hearing was concluded, Bow Wow was officially named host of BET’s long-running and influential hip hop show, “106 & Park.”
Bow Wow conveniently forgot to mention his new gig during court yesterday and now he’ll have to answer some tough questions in December, when he returns to court for the permanent child support order.
In the meantime, the judge ordered Bow Wow to pay $11,500 in back child support.

It is fairly obvious that Bow Wow is hiding funds just like many, many men do when it comes to disclosing income and savings in child support hearings. He has his money protected elsewhere.

I don’t blame him for hiding his money.It doesn’t take thousands a month to provide for a baby in my opinion. If it ws the other way around and the woman had to pay. She would want to pay the minimum as well. Shaking my head. Custodial parents are funny.
Hmm…child support is the right of the child. The child’s right is to a lifestyle indicative of the parents lifestyle and ability. That’s the fact and if someone opposes this they should probably try using a condom? Because it’s funny how people act like the non custodial parent didn’t have a choice…they did. Does it take 10,000 a mth to raise a child? Absolutely not….however, if you make 50,000 a mth, your child also makes 50,000 a mth and is entitled to their share. As an example, if Alex Rodriquezs children lived with him full time they would eat the finest and have the finest of everything, so just because they don’t, they only get 3000 a mth? Mind u there may be tuition, dental, medical bills, food, utilities which children do use and other miscellaneous things. If the man doesn’t trust the woman to utilize the excessive amount of child support correctly then he should’ve nutted inside someone else…cry me a river.

That’s what I’m saying!!! I understand that yes if you make a nice salary than your child may be living a much different life than most. HOWEVER, I think the courts should also take in account what bills this person may have. Yes I make $50,000/mth but if I have 40,000 in bills (that maybe a reach) then no my child will not live a much different life than others. How much money a person makes should not be the only determing factor in paying child support IJS!
Really though. My parents were making over 100k growing up and all I got was $20 a week for lunch money and I had to "make it last". A baby does not need $3k a month. Just because the parents live nice does not mean the child is entitled to it. Sure the child should be taken care of, but dipers and formula do not cost $3k a month.

Gave me 20 dollars a day when I was in high school and weekend money. She was a single mother who never received a dime of child support. She was generous based on her ability but I earned it. If you’re a multi millionaire which make no mistake about it bow wow is….the child is entitled to that lifestyle. The mother can’t afford to live in the safest most exclusive communities like he can so she should be reasonably accommodated. The same goes for Halle berry situation…not about gender. If u don’t want to commit to that then stop havin kids out of wedlock or with people you know are questionable bc everyone knows. This is why I’m not having children unless I know I can stand alone an support them or my partner is solid.

Now, I understand Bow Wow hasn’t put out an album and God knows when, but I remember his mother taking the money he was earning and doing good things with it. She put it in investments and opened a clothing store in the ATL(or so I thought). I thought she was preparing for him to have backups incase music didn’t work out.
