When will women learn that once your stuff gets old and no one wants it anymore you will be back to being broke. You will be old, lonely, with a worn out poo poo. She looks fab as always. If being a high price escort is her game plan then so be it, better than her being a crime boss. Plenty of rich men willing to pay for it. They generally hook up with housing, cars and jewels that you can keep and sell when they are "on to the next". Escorts know they will get old one day so smart ones open business or invest well so they can stay in the circle of wealth. Folks say she is barren so she can get a "meal ticket for life" but she has charm and knows how to "fake it til she make it". I will never fully understand why there is so much concern about where and how she gets her money, clothes, hair, home, lifestyle. Obviously she’s found something which works for her, very well. And, maybe working a daily 9 – 5 job ain’t it! Comments regarding her alleged income source(s) always read with a jealous tone, to me at least. I mean lets face it ladies, many women would prefer for their man (boo, boyfriend, husband, ex-husband) to provide for them while their only "job" is to take care of him and home. It’s what has been told to generations of women is the way things should be – men are providers, women are caregivers. It sounds to me like she embraces that school of thought and found someone of means who supports it. Remember ladies, we still don’t earn as much as men AND we are expected to take care of him and home WHILE holding down a job. for some this is fine, for others not so much.
So, If it is true that she has a benefactor/sugar daddy/sponsor, so what! There are many women who are looking to find that very same thing, as evidenced by the various levels of thirst which are displayed and celebrated – Basketball Non-Wives comes to mind immediately. I am sure there are some readers who have a homegirl who is on this exact same mission, but has not proven to be as successful as Marlo. Oh, and not to mention the many matchmakers(Patti Stanger of ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ comes to mind here) who are out there to align pretty young ladies with rich men.
In all, to me, it looks like Ms. Hampton figured out what she wanted, worked to get it and did. Now she’s living comfortably, by all appearances.

I hope I did not come off as negative in my post. If she likes that lifestyle and it works for her so be it. I do have a question for you and since you work HR maybe you can enlighten me on something. Every job I have been employed at men and women are given the same pay for their efforts. I know in my older siblings line of work everyone is paid equally as well. I do keep hearing that women do not make as much as men when they have the same job title. I would like to read up more about this subject since I do not see that reflect in the circles around me. Would you be able to point me in the right direction?

I’m not sure how candid salary discussions are within your circle, but most people aren’t comfy with detailing how much they make. Active discussions and clinicals which I have participated in have shown that most people round up when disclosing their salary to friends. Additionally, most colleagues do not sit around and discuss salary, for a whole list of reasons.
The disparity between men and women can best be calculated between two people in the exact same role, with the same experience and qualifications, and work in the same organization. To compare what a financial advisor makes at Firm A to that of Firm B will not yield proof positive results because there are controls/factors which differ between the firms.

Since you asked, I’ll tell you why some are making such a big deal about her money/fashion, etc.
Not only does she define herself in materialistic terms and constantly brings attention to those types of things, she constantly makes comments that attempt to belittle those around her who she feels are not as successful as she believes she is. In doing so, it naturally causes some to question whether her air of superiority is justified/well-founded.
To your point, if she chooses to be a hooker, it’s her own perogative. However, she must understand that there are people who don’t liked to be looked down upon by hookers who flaunt their whore money.
I hope this clarifies some of the points that were puzzling you.

You are 100% correct! However, if you’ve ever noticed….people who TRULY believe in themselves don’t go around reminding others about how great they are. This is a tried and true sign of insecurity.
Again–I don’t have a problem with how she lives her life or how she makes any money that she does (assuming she isn’t breaking the law or hurting anyone). The thing that rubs many the wrong way is that she talks down to people who value certain aspects of life differently than she does or who have made different life decisions than she has.
