“I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama,” said Beyonce, in a stunning red cocktail dress and blond curls.
“We believe in his vision.”
A crowd of about 100 supporters shelled out $40,000 each to share space with Bey, Jay & the POTUS and he returned the couple’s grand gesture by giving Beyonce the ultimate compliment.

As Obama spoke briefly to the crowd, he compared the singer to his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, cracking a joke about how he and Jay-Z play second fiddle to their top notch women.
“We both have daughters. And our wives are more popular than we are. So– you know. So we’ve got a little bond there. It’s hard, but it’s OK.”
“Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls,” Obama added, thanking the star couple for their friendship and joking that Michelle and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, were upset they couldn’t be present.
The couple reportedly raised about $4 million for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign that evening and graciously posed with the people who made it possible.
One photo in particular captured the moment with Jay-Z, Beyonce, President Barack Obama and a supporter brushing the dirt off their shoulders an ode to one of Jay-Z’s hit songs…

I agree ROLE MODELS really… so someone who puts down their christian values for fame is a role model, butt popping, selling your soul, wearing a shirt with a picture of Jesus Christ with a statement friend or foe is a role model. Question these celebrities that make commercials for us to get out and vote how come we don’t see any pictures of them voting at the poll.
And how come we don’t see Obama celebrities who endorse Obama’s higher tax plan writing checks themselves? If those celebs want higher taxes why don’t they write a check for all of us? Hypocrites. Oh, and neither Jay-Z, Beyonce, or Obama are Christians.

I’ve read the stories of the other celebs who support Obama however you have to read more than a ‘black’ blog.
I don’t necessarily see these two as role models however; in the case of Beyonce, how she conducts herself in the world in comparison to several celebs out here…KUDOS to her.

One of the reasons the president won the last election was the black turnout at the polls which is historically very low. The president KNOWS that the low-information voters (those that don’t care to brush up on the issues of what is at stake) listen to people like Bey/Jay – and so when they come out and say go vote these persons are more likely to follow their lead. This is why this president was successful against the Clintons – the black vote – so when you are intellectual as the president – you get out the vote = by any means necessary, but you can BEST believe that the Carters will NEVER be invited to vacation with the Obama’s. Its called SMOKE and Mirrors.
JayZ and Beyonce don’t do ANYTHING that’s not glamorous. Its great that they did the fundraiser. But they should be out encouraging young people to register and actually vote.
