Burger King is in a tizzy after a photo appeared on line with the caption “This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King.”
The photo was reportedly taken at a Cleveland area Burger King location and shows a Mayfield Heights Burger King employee standing with both feet in the lettuce bin!
Between Wendy’s and their greasy floors, McDonald’s southern fried cockroaches and Burger King’s new shoe dirt lettuce, you’ll probably choose a workout plan over a whopper these days.

Many were outrage over the photo and it (along with it’s location) was sent to several news outlets. It was determined by it’s geo-tag that it was taken around the Mayfield Heights area of Cleveland, Ohio.
Burger King corporation says it is investigating the photo to determine it’s origin.
Bryson W. Thornton, Global Communications Director, writes:
We are aware of the photo that was allegedly posted by an employee at a Burger King restaurant in Ohio and are taking the issue very seriously.
Food safety is a top priority for Burger King restaurants and the company has strict policies regarding its food handling procedures.
We are investigating the matter and will take appropriate action as necessary.
Thornton eventually confirmed that the photo was indeed taken at a Burger King location, although he clarified that it happens to be an “independently owned and operated by a Burger King franchisee.”
“The franchisee has taken swift action to investigate this matter and terminated the three employees involved in the incident.” (source)
So even if you choose a healthier alternative and ask… what’s in the new chicken wrap? *Mary J Blige style* remember to hold the lettuce!

It doesn’t matter how much money they take home they know how much the job pays when they take it! It’s not the customers fault they get paid minimal wage if you don’t like your job find another one! If the pay is not acceptable then they shouldnt have taken the job. How does giving the consumer poor quality food help your paycheck? It doesnt. I know someone who started out cooking fast food and now is an executive for that company because he took advantage of the upward mobility programs they offered. If you dont like your job leave.
In this day in age many folks don’t work there because they want to but because they HAVE to.How many 30/40 year olds working at a Fast Food do you think REALLY want to be there? People do what they have to do and unfortunately they don’t get pid well, doesn’t give them the right to mess with an unsuspecting customer’s food.

LMAO… i haven’t worked in fast food since i was 15. I’m a college educated adult, WITH a CAREER (not a job). If you fail to grasp what I’m actually saying, then YOU’RE probably the chic/kneegro behind the register of WalMart tryna skim change to make up for the fact THAT mega-corp underpays and overworks you (likewise w/fastfood), while they demand u provide service with a smile for $5.15/hr.
Disgusted but not shocked at all. My second job was KFC and I have witness people taking chicken off the floor and serving it to the customers.

Right, I worked BK when i was a teenager and I know what they do..which is why i will NEVER act a fool with folks who deal with my fool..i’m so sugar sweet it’s ri damn diculous..I remember this racist guy came every morning and would get the same thing, and egg croissant It was coon this coon that..since i’m light bright damn near white he actually thought he was talking to me about other folks working there! Anyway,the brother in the back that made the sandwiches overheard him, took the croissants and dirtied the inside of it on the floor, spit in it and wrapped it up and gave it to him..we all watched as teh guy ate every last bit of it. The problem is teh camera caught him and he had to do time behind it, but still….
But in that situation, that guy deserved it. lol

Girl, he went to jail over that? I expect them to fire him, but I am surprised over the jail time. The entire situation is messed up. The BK should have banned that customer from the store. No one should have to work in that type of environment, no matter whether they make $7.25 an hour or if they make $700 an hour. That customer created a hostile work environment, and actually the brother in the back should have sued BK.

I haven’t eaten fast food in a long time, and when I do I stick to places like Chick-fil-a, where the employees are happy to be there.
lol, sad you have to make sure the employees are happy to be there before you decide to eat at a place! But they do seem a bit happier there, I even went to one where they had a princess cow walking around, she even seemed overly excited walking around in that hot ass costume.
Chik-fil-a has the best customer service in fast food. Every resturant should be like them. I’ve never visited one where the employees were not happy to serve you!!!!
