Keasha Ruteleage & Christopher Draft were married November 27, 2011 in Atlanta, GA.
Chris Draft, an 11 year NFL veteran married Keasha in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
During the wedding ceremony, Keasha wheeled her way down the aisle in a wheel chair, taking the last few steps to say her “I do’s” to the love of her life.
Sadly, after only one month of wedded bliss, Keasha Ruteleage-Draft succumbed to her battle with cancer on December 27, 2011.
Their short lived marriage does not negate the love that was evident between the two.

Life is way too short.
Do what you’ve always wanted to do… say what you’ve always wanted to say… live how you’ve always wanted to live.
Try not to sweat the small stuff, treat people right and love as hard as you can.
And last but not least… be happy.

R.I.P. Keasha Ruteleage-Draft
My prayers and condolences go out to the Draft family.

So heartbreaking; read about it last night on MSN! Prayers for him and her family
So sad..
That is not sad, that is a blessing. God let her share time and space with a man that was designed just for her by GOD. Even though the time was short, I am sure what they had was beautiful. This just further proves that you must be good to one another. Love like tomorrow is not promised and cherish the time you have with your loved ones and friends. In the end we will all meet up again. Selah, R.I.P Mrs. Draft
What a truly inspirational story for the new year.
R.I.P Mrs Draft
Wow!! So sadd:-( make us not take anything for granted!!
Very sad
We take life for granted. This story hits the heart, but they enjoyed life until the end. We should look at this couple and take notes. If you love someone let them know, stop playing hard to get or stop fighting. Life is too short you never know when it’s your turn. Live, Laugh, & Love!!!!!!!
NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL A REAL MAN!!!he made sure that she was sooo happy in her last days..RIP LOVELY.

This is so sad i’m sure that one month felt like a life time to her!
She had been sit for a minute, I wish he had of married her before than.
I was so tearful during this video, thanks for sharing and my condolences to Mr. Draft and family, God Bless
This is beautiful and makes me want to call someone special to me to tell him exactly how I feel. I don’t know what I’m going to say or how to say it because we are close friends and have never crossed that line but it needs to be said. I will not hold it in another day. It’s a new year and regardless of the outcome, I can’t keep wondering what if.

Sweet story but sad!!
Sweet….
Couldn’t watch the entire video without bawling, wonderfully done.
So sweet & sad!!!
Awwww true love but sad
Ive read that they were together for several years and he didn’t marry her until she got diagnosed with cancer. While its sad that she lost her battle, if it is true he waited until she got sick then it is all the more sad that he didn’t see her worthy of marriage much sooner. No woman should have to go down the aisle on her wedding day sickly and in a wheelchair. Don’t sleep on love. When a man finds a good woman he should build his life with her immediately because no one’s days are guaranteed and there is no assurance something better will come along. Time wasted can never be regained.
wowwww! it takes a real man with love in his heart to stand by a sick woman’s side. most boys run when a baby is developing, so u can imagine them pulling a disappearing act when a woman becomes sick!
