Antwan “Big Boi” Patton was arrested in Miami this afternoon (August 7, 2011) as he and Andre’ 3000 were returning to the states from their luxurious family vacation.
My happy Sunday just came to a sudden halt! 
Details…
Twan, Dre’ and the fam were all returning from the cruise ship and Big’s scent apparently caught the attention of drug sniffing dogs.
Miami customs and border patrol authorities searched his person and found the illegal contraband.
Twan was arrested and charged with three counts of possessing a controlled substance (Ecstasy, MDMA (an ingredient found in Ecstasy), and Viagra). The Viagra charge was added because Big could not verify that he had a prescription for the drug.
He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Big Boi was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail at around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon and was since been released on a $16,000 bond.
I really didn’t want to post this, but how could I NOT? I posted Dre’s mugshot too when he was arrested for speeding in his Porsche a few years back (click HERE if you missed it), so no one’s exempt…. not even my baby daddy. *sigh*
I’m so inconsolable right now…. lemme go pour me a glass of Crown Royal Black to get my mind right.

Big Boi has released a statement from his attorney, Daniel Kane:
While BIG BOI was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage.
I am confident when the entire facts are aired BIG BOI will be completely exonerated.
