Just days after breaking his long media silence during last weekend’s Trumpet Awards banquet, Bishop Eddie Long has posted an online video to issue a plea about a “financial situation” that occurred to members of his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
The Bishop invited some “financial advisers” in to assist it’s members with their retirement funds, and they made some bad investments.
Apparently Long is feelin ‘some kinda way’ and wants to make it all right, so he posted an online video plea…

The members are now alarmed about their decision to trust the Bishop’s suggestion to use the company and according to the press release about the video, members alerted Long “about a troubling investment that could eclipse a million dollars.”
There’s no mention of how many New Birth members bought into the investments, but many have disclosed that they are facing severe financial hardships because of investments that went “sour.”
Long says he decided to make a public appeal via video to aid members in resolving their “dispute with City Capital Corp. and its CEO Ephren Taylor.”
[Sidebar: That Kool-aid at New Birth must be potent as all get out! Not only has their "leader" been accused of sexual misconduct, but he chooses to keep it under wraps by "negotiating" with his accusers behind closed doors. Now, the company he referred to members to manage their retirement funds have run off and aren't responding? I bet anything Long didn't invest money in that scam.]

Really Bishop? So you are apologizing about some money, but yet you went hiding under a rock when the whole sex abuse situation came out, you acted like it never even happened, didn’t even proclaim your “innocence”. Hmmmm, so that’s what you gon’ do huh?
I tried to watch that video but couldn’t bring myself to listen to him speak; then he had the nerve to not accept comments . lol
I read about this earlier and tried to watch the video ; but I couldn’t bring myself to look at him or listern to what he had to say. Eddie Long is to proud to even apologize to those young men and his church family. He probably didn’t tell his wife and children the truth either.
I can’t with this. I’m too distracted by that merkin on his head.

I’m sure some members gained and some members lost money. The losses any members of the congregation experienced isn’t any different than if they had been unhappy with investments in UBS, Bank of America or any other firm during a recession. I don’t see Bishop Long making an appeal for members who lost money with other financial firms. Seems like Bishop Long is trying to find a distraction from his own issues. If he had stepped down as leader for a season his vision wouldn’t be as clouded as it is.
So…because we don’t blindly follow this…*gags* “Man of God,” we’re haters?! Bless your heart…
