In this handout photo provided by Disney, Oscar-winning actress and Grammy Award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson (left) shows off her new figure as she poses with Walt Disney Company president and CEO Robert A. Iger (middle), Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Thomas O. Staggs (right) and a ceremonial bottle of Champagne for the christening ceremony for the new “Disney Dream” cruise ship on January 19, 2011 at Port Canaveral, Florida.
J-Hud’s connection to Disney stems way back to before she performed on “American Idol,” for she was once a performer for one of the Disney Cruise Line ships. Jen has since gone from singing on cruise ships to winning an Academy Award and now she’s been named the godmother for the “Disney Dream” ship. The Dream is the newest Disney Cruise Line ship and will launch its maiden voyage tomorrow (January 26).
In addition to this honor, Jennifer has also released a brand new single this week, entitled “Where You At.”
Check it out below:
“Where You At” was co-produced and written by R. Kelly and Harvey Mason, Jr. The track is the first single from her much awaited sophomore album, I Remember Me.
Jennifer, photographed above during her performance at the House Of Blues in her hometown of Chicago (January 10, 2011), says she chose the title, I Remember Me, as a testament to going through trials and still having a sense of self throughout it all.
The new album is scheduled to hit shelves March 22nd.
