Last night (Oct. 12th), ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) who reps everyone from Beyonce to Jay-Z & Ludacris kicked off their 2nd annual ASCAP Presents… Women Behind the Music in Atlanta.

DJ Traci Steele & Rashan Ali
Hosted by V103′s Rashan Ali (luv the shoes!) and with music by DJ Traci Steele, the annual event series is designed to promote, and recognize the impact women have made in the entertainment industry, and specifically music. The honorees all participated on a discussion panel where they shared secrets to being a successful in a male dominated industry. I learned a lot just by being in the room!
