The Hawks’ Josh Smith tied the knot this weekend in Atlanta and BallerAlert grabbed some exclusive photos of the nuptials. The college park native married longtime love, Alexandria Lopez, in an elaborate ceremony Saturday night.
Josh’s childhood friend, Dwight Howard served as best man and was spotted doing some good in the hood with the kids of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Atlanta on Friday. In an interview with the AJC, Dwight inadvertently spilled the beans about the ceremony:
…when I asked Howard how long he was in town for, he said, “Until Sunday. Josh is getting married tomorrow night and I’m the best man at his wedding.” Howard smiled and suddenly suffered from memory loss when asked specifics about the wedding.

In response to destiny: God made us part of not just the black race, but the HUMAN RACE. Love is love is love. Don’t let the negativity and racisim of the world color your view of who should marry who. GOD does not care if a couple who really love one another marries if they are from different ethnic groups. When you focus on negativity, that becomes your reality, but when you focus on positivity that is what becomes your reality. Obviously you have negative emotions on the inside about interracial marriage and relationships and that is un-godly. Let go and let GOD, focus on living a GODLY life and having your house in order. Just accept that there are things in the world that you cannot change like other peoples treatment of african americans but you can control how that treatment affects how you view and treat others.
I personally know Josh and Alex. What does color have to do with a THING?
