Mugshot Mania ~ Soulja Boy Arrested At Video Shoot
I guess it’s that time of year again…another rapper jailed for stupidity. Soulja Boy aka Deandre Cortez Way was arrested in Henry County Wednesday night after he ran from Henry County police. During the filming of a video shoot at a house in McDonough, police say that Soulja Boy took off running as an officer walked up to the house and was detained when he came back moments later.
An officer headed out to a house in McDonough around 9 p.m. after being told a group of people were hanging out there. The officer stated that the house was dark and looked abandoned and witnessed three women walking around the back of the home. The women refused to stop after the officer confronted them and as he followed them around the back he noticed a larger group of around 40 people.
When they spotted the officer, half of the group took off, leaving several cars behind, and the other half stayed, telling the officer they were at the house “for a video shoot”.
A few moments later a man police later identified as Deandre Cortez Way (Soulja Boy) walked back to the house and told the officer that he was the owner of one of the cars (a white Range Rover). The officer then placed him under arrest.
“He just ran from the police, and then he decided to come back,” explained Capt. Jason Bolton of the Henry County police department.
Way, 19, better known as Soulja Boy Tell’em, was taken to jail and has since been released. No word yet on any charges but the entire situation is quite bizarre to say the least.

October 10, 2009 @ 3:29 amI am confused. Didn’t the video producer have a permit to film the video? Where was the video producer?? Why didn’t he or she speak with the officer?? Perhaps he or she was too busy stashing their drugs.
So now Soulja Boy has street cred because he was arrested on disorderly persons charge?? Shaking my damn head.
