“Rape Dance” Controversy in Memphis TN
You thought “Supaman that ho” was bad? Well teens at Mitchell High School in Memphis, Tennessee have created a dance they call “Rape Dat Ho.”
Footage of the dance (also coined the “Rape Dance”) was filmed inside the Mitchell high school gym and shows teens simulating sex acts with their clothes on. Since gaining national attention, an investigation began and the video was removed from YouTube. It was reported that the students that posted the video were arrested and others were disciplined. My only question is…this was sa school function, so where were the adults? Why were the students disciplined (and/or arrested?) and no grown folks were held accountable?? (Source)

May 18, 2008 @ 10:42 pmThis is terrible. Where were the adults. It look like some adults were there and did not pay any attention to those kids. And as big as those kids are I know they know that rape is a crime so why name a dance the “rape dance”. *shocked*

May 21, 2008 @ 3:39 pmWasn’t it just last week when I felt as though I had to defend some of our behavior against people who say they are sick of us black folk complaining about race?!!!!!!!
MOMMA’S AND THE DADDY’S WHO ARE AROUND, get ya dawm kid’s and I use the words momma’s and daddy’s because a lot of you all are not acting like parent’s!
It is not the schools responsibility to manage your children unless they are on school property but this **** they learned at home!
Man!!! I don’t even know how to address this behavior.
What I want to know is why aren’t there any white children in the news about stuff like this? Also, why is that black children don’t wonder why they don’t see other races in the news for stuff like this? They actually think that they are (being hip) doing something.
Of course the media is perpetuating the demonization of us by airing this **** across the virtual globe.
For those of us who are old enough to remember the group Mtume. Remember that song called Juicy Fruit?
My mother would have a fit when ever she heard that song because she thought that it was too risky for a young person to be listening to.
BLACK PEOPLE, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GET A GRIP!!!!

May 21, 2008 @ 3:51 pmEveryday…
Everyday we are in the news for some dumb ****.
Embarrassing ourselves because we don’t care about ourselves.
How did we make the leap from the Civil Rights movement to this?
Our Civil Rights leaders have and still are sacrificing themselves so that we can allow our childres to grow up in the dark without having any chances in the world? We turn a blind eye to it all.
For those of us out here like myself we have to just keep praying and stepping out on faith hoping that collectively as a people we will some day soon get burned out on this kind of self distructive behavior.
I know what we need. We need to bring back the big momma’s of day’s gone by.

May 24, 2008 @ 6:36 amI do see white kids in that video too. I think this all started, when we separated God from school. There has been a steady decline in moral behavior since the removal of prayer in school, this is a problem for all of America, Black and White.
