Is this ART? Model in “Blackface” causes controversy
What the hell is going on in America?? This photo was recently published in iD Magazine in an editorial about a company called American Apparel. There are several things wrong with this picture…first, the model, Sasha Gaye-Hunt, is beautiful but this is not her natural skin color.The ad is for CLOTHING, so what’s up with the comment, “Sweeter than candy. Better than cake“? Is she being sold on the auction block, or pimped out….??

March 2, 2008 @ 7:54 pm“i’m just sayin” equates to “I make no claims of validity for my statements.” The advertisement sucks. Your analysis and commentary sucks even worse. FYI, candy and cake are generally desirable treats. The ad is trying to say that the person in the picture is desirable. Wow that’s profound. Who cares. Moving along.
