I received some very sad news today. Designer Mychael Knight has died early this morning at the age of 39.
Knight broke into the fashion industry by working as an intern at Wilbourn Exclusives in 2001 and then became a Fashion Stylist in the music industry in 2002.
The popular designer, an alumni of Georgia Southern, appeared on various television shows, including Project Runway, BET’s ‘Rip The Runway’ and also The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Knight presented ?A Knight in Wonderland,? which featured his own designs as well as those of a few local designers, models, makeup artists and other fashion pros.
Whitfield showed up rocking a recycled yet fashionable outfit?from her glory days at Bravo (#NeverForget),?but word on the curb is that she didn’t actually fulfill her hosting duties due to the fact that she was 2 hours late and stuttered through her lines on ?stage.

The popular event, which is known to be a night full of live funk, R&B and soul performances, did not disappoint as newcomers Chrystian of NZ Beersa/Sony Red and RaVaughn of Ne-Yo’s Compound University/Columbia Records hit the stage to showcase their unique vocal talents.

Real “Housewife” of Atlanta/Supermodel Cynthia Bailey celebrated the grand opening of her dream come true.
Cynthia recently held a launch party for her school of fashion, where she confirmed plans to partner with colleague Marcus Jackson of CALIBER Enterprises (a fashion, event and talent management consulting company).
Coined “The Bailey Agency,” the school is Cynthia’s personal vision for an instructional program that will offer students an intense 6-week course covering all areas of the fashion industry including modeling, photography and production.
The launch party drew the attention of fashion industry vets throughout Atlanta, such as designer Mychael Knight and celebrity photographer Derek Blanks and was also taped for an upcoming episode of the The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
That being said, you already know each and every one of the Atlanta “housewives” were in the building (even rumored “newbie” /ex-convict Marlo Hampton) to celebrate the launch and mug it up for the cameras!
