Sorry I haven’t posted this week…I’m still in mourning for T.I. aka Clifford Harris, Jr. I tried to show my support by going on a hunger strike until he is released (hoping I could lose 10 a few pounds this week), but my will power sucks! Now….I don’t know about you, but the thought of not eating for 6 days does not give you energy and creativity. Anyway, my hunger strike didn’t work….T.I.’s still locked up!
So…back to work I go! Here’s a recap of the events this week:
Last but not least, T.I. appeared in court today on federal gun charges. He pled not guilty and his attorneys have proposed that he be released on a $2.2 million bond and given house arrest. The judge in the case has agreed to consider the proposal and has given his attorneys another week to gather additional information before he rules. It has also been released that T.I. was allegedly in possession 2 and 1/2 pounds of weed on the day of his arrest. What I find terribly odd is that he is accused of admitting to a federal agent that he smoked the weed in preparation for BET Awards. OK…who besides me thinks this is all a bunch of B.S.?? Can you just imagine him sitting on the curb conversing with the feds and saying….”yeah, it’s mine….and I just smoked it”…? Whatever?!?!
“I bet you niggaz think I’m livin it up
Til you see polices laughin as they pickin me up
Went from seeing how many bitches I could fit in the truck
To three hots and a cot, is you kiddin or what?
Fuck how many millions I got, nigga, so what if I’m hot
When I got prices on my head, feds rushin my spot
A million haters want me dead, forced to carry a gat …”
The ATF (Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) has released the affadavit and complaint of charges against Atlanta rapper, T.I. (aka Clifford Harris). These charges are no joke and they have been watching him since October 2nd.
Listed below is the timeline of events leading to his arrest (based on the ATF’s complaint).
—Oct. 2: Harris’ bodyguard asks a licensed gun dealer about buying a machine gun without registering it, as required by law. The dealer reports the incident to ATF agents, who give the dealer the cell phone number of an undercover ATF agent, posing as a machine gun dealer, to pass along to the bodyguard. The bodyguard calls the number within hours.
—Oct. 10: Harris arranges for the bodyguard to pick up $12,000 in cash from his bank on Northside Parkway to buy the weapons. Later, the bodyguard meets with the undercover agent at a K-Mart store, 5997 Buford Highway, Doraville. Continue Reading…
I reported eariler that T.I. was a no-show at the BET awards that was filming in Atlanta this weekend. The information I received was that his home was being searched by the feds. Apparently they found weapons and silencers in his home….
Harris, 27, was charged with two felonies — possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. The arrest was made in the parking lot of a downtown shopping center, which a witness identified as the Walgreens drug store at the corner of North and Piedmont avenues.
Harris was arrested after allegedly trying to purchase the guns from a “cooperating witness” with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. According to federal officials, the witness had been cooperating with authorities since Wednesday, when he was arrested on charges of trying to purchase guns from a federal agent. The witness has been working as Harris’ bodyguard since July, authorities said. (Source)
I just received a text that T.I.’s home is currently being searched by the feds. A few moments later, I found that the Atlanta Journal is reporting that T.I. was arrested this afternoon at 2:30 coming out of Walgreens Drug Store in Downtown Atlanta. Sources have confirmed that T.I. is a no show at the BET awards show which is currently being taped. I sincerely hope that Tip hasn’t slipped up again and I’m keeping him in my prayers. We definately don’t need any more negativity involving hip-hop. FREE T.I. ~ ASAP….ASAP! (Source)
