NEWSFLASH! Georgia will be the first state to implement a school based totally on sexual orientation and gender identity.
A first-of-its-kind private school in Georgia aimed at attracting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth and teachers is being established in Atlanta for students who feel bullied or not accepted in traditional schools.
Pride School Atlanta is a k-12 institution designed to be an alternative for LGBT students, though the school is open to any student who believes they’re not getting the support they need for “being different,” says Pride School founder Christian Zsilavetz.
“Kids have full permission to be themselves ? as well as educators. Where there’s no wondering, ‘Is this teacher going to be a person for me to be myself with?'” said Zsilavetz, who is transgender and a veteran teacher with nearly 25 years of experience.
“This is a place where they (students) can just open up and be the best person they can be.”

Raven-Symone is speaking out after being dragged online for derogatory comments she made about her thoughts on Ghetto Black names.
The former child star made a few controversial statements when asked if she would ‘judge’ a person by their name and in a world filled with children growing up with names like ‘North’ West, ‘Blue Ivy,’ and Apple many felt Raven-Symone’s statement about ‘Watermelondrea’ was blatantly racist and out of line.

Raven recently offered an explanation and an apology of sorts to the millions of people she offended with her comments about how she would NEVER hire anyone with a name like ‘Watermelondria,’ stating:
As an equal opportunity employer, I have never discriminated against a name….even though I said I would, it’s not true. My comment was in poor taste.
Raven’s father, Christopher B. Pearman also hit the net to offer an apology for his daughter, stating that she often says ‘dumb sh*t’ but he’s still proud of his little girl.

Cameron Ervin, 17, and Christopher Ervin, 22, have remained at Gwinnett County Jail since the Sept. 5, the date authorities arrived at the home after receiving a 911 call from their terrified mother claiming they were trying to kill her and their father.
The night before the attack, Yvonne and Zachary Ervin got a call from one of their sons. He said he and his brother wanted to make the family dinner at their Snellville-area home.
What followed that night, police believe, were Xanax-spiked cocktails. What came the next morning was a brutal assault that left Yvonne Ervin badly beaten, Zachary Ervin stabbed multiple times, and both brothers in the Gwinnett County jail.
One of the brothers accused of attacking his parents even told police he?d been planning the crime since he was 11.
