Clifford “T.I.” Harris has finally admitted that he has a drug problem.
Just days prior to turning himself in to serve his 11 month sentence for probation violations stemming from an L.A. drug arrest, Tip? sat down with VIBE Magazine’s Erik Parker for a very candid interview.
In an excerpt from the explosive cover story, T.I. reveals that he developed an addiction to pain pills after having oral surgery.
I had a lot of work done to my teeth. Oral surgery, extractions, six, seven, eight root canals. Between January to February. As soon as I got out, I had a lot of stuff done. In the joint, you eat shit that is unhealthy for you. I had fillings that fell out and stuff that had to get dealt with. Of course for the pain they gave me oxycontin and hydrocodone. And, mind you, on October 13, 2007, I had cut off everything?weed, alcohol.
Then I get these pills and I start taking them for the pain at first. And then I?m like, Wait?this shit makes me feel good. Continue Reading…
As he serves his 11 month jail sentence for probation violations, Clifford “T.I.” Harris has written another letter to his fans… or better yet, his haters.
In his first letter from prison, written just days after he turned himself in, Tip addressed the skeptics who turned their backs on him as he faced another trying setback.

This time, he reflects on his punishment and reveals how sick and tired he is of using that revolving door in the judicial system.? Tip also seems to have finally made a conscious decision to change his ways. Not for the fans. Not for his haters but for himself.
This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before and that’s saying a lot for a nigga who’s been down locked up as many times as I have. I see this as a real ass whoopin’. The kind you don’t just go back outside to play afterwards.
You take ya ass to bed and don’t come out of your room until it’s time to go to school. I don’ t know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I’m certainly sick and mother f*cking tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it. T.I. is tucked safely in an Arkansas jail cell right now serving his 11 month sentence for probation violations, but he’s still facing legal issues outside in the free world.
T.I. aka Clifford Harris is now being sued by an employee of Echo studios.
Norris Gresham, who is identified as an artist and a technician at Echo claims in his lawsuit that Tip failed to step in when Killer Mike (aka Mike Bigga) accused him of stealing a necklace.
Apparently in the melee that ensued following the accusation, the employee was held captive and interrogated for 12 hours
The suit, filed Monday in Fulton County State Court holds Tip responsible for the incident.
