BET’s hot new series ?Being Mary Jane? is just months away from its anticipated series premiere.?The pilot was so well received back in July that BET greenlit a series to premiere this January 2014.
Gabrielle Union reprises her role as ‘Mary Jane,’ a successful business woman with relationship issues and she recently announced her excitement about the project.
The pilot episode left a whopper of a cliffhanger when Mary Jane was shown ‘stealing’ sperm from her ex-boyfriend and freezing it in hopes of one day artificially inseminating herself.

The award winning singer and songwriter has partnered with her fiance’ Todd Tucker to try her hand at producing a stage play.
The play is entitled, ?A Mother?s Love? and the pair stopped by Fox-5’s ?Good Day Atlanta? morning show a few weeks ago to discuss the new venture.
Kandi told FOX 5?s Gurvir Dhindsa:
I look up to people like Tyler Perry and everything that he?s done. As far as my career and my next steps, I just want to take it bigger and better.
It?s (the play) inspired by (my relationship with my mother). My relationship with my mother is, you know we?re very close, but when it comes to relationships and things, sometimes mothers, and not just my mother, have a problem letting go and letting their daughter make their own decisions. It kind of touches on that?
