Mo’Nique recently appeared on the ‘Sway in The Morning Show’ where she spoke about her husband, Sidney Hicks, and how their marriage has remained happy, healthy and OPEN for over 11 years now.

The Oscar winning actress has often spoke about her marital arrangement on her ‘Open Marriage’ podcast, but now with a movie to promote (she’s starring in the upcoming film ‘Almost Christmas’),?Mo?goes a bit further as she explains why she allows her husband to have sex with other women.

When asked about her arrangement, Mo’Nique states:

If my husband should sleep with another woman, is that the end of our marriage? No. If I should sleep with another man, or have sex ? if we gon? do the do is that the end? No. But we?re open and honest with one another to have the conversation.

So when people say cheat, how do you cheat? When you say here are the answers and what that does is, what it did for me, it made me really appreciate what I had because I didn’t for so long…

She also explains how her husband Sidney is her best friend and that ‘open’ means a lot of things and it doesn’t always include sex.

I’m not just in an open relationship but not just with my husband… I’m in an open relationship with my kids, I’m in an open relationship with my friends… with the people that’s on the team…

That way we’re always honest to know how we’re feeling and what we’re dealing with and communicate with each other. ?And that makes for beautiful relationships.
