So it’s official. VH1 has finally confirmed that Love and Hip Hop is coming to Hotlanta!
I spilled the tea back in December about the Atlanta version of the popular VH1 reality series and reportedly filming has already begun!
In my original post which you can re-visit HERE, it was speculated that ATL participants would include Rasheeda, Diamond and Nivea.
Well there may be a reality-show shake up coming soon because word on the curb is that Nivea is a no go and at least one of the people in the photo above will be leaving their high rated show to jump aboard the Love & Hip Hop train.
Here’s what I’ve heard so far about the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast… Continue Reading…
Big Boi aka Daddy Fat Sacks aka Dick Fury aka Sir Lucious Leftfoot aka my baby daddy… shot over a few behind the scenes shots from his upcoming “Shutterbug” video, which was directed by Chris Robinson.
Common was in town last week promoting the upcoming release of his new feature film “Just Wright” with Queen Latifah. The movie is a romantic comedy that marks Common’s leading man debut.
In his first starring role, he plays an NBA All-Star (Scott McKnight) who gets torn between true love with Queen Latifah’s character and groupie love from her friend who aspires to be an NBA trophy wife.
On preparing for his role in “Just Wright”:
One of my friends that plays in the NBA, Barron Davis, I just went and talk to him not only about the NBA but also what made him start playing basketball. Then I would just be around him and look at his lifestyle and talk to him about all of the thoughts and experiences he had. Then I got to talk to D. Wade and a couple of other cats that play in the league.
Everyday, I would train with the assistant coach from the New Jersey Nets and at the time I was filming the movie “Date Night”. So during the day, I would do whatever physical training and whatever preparation for my character. Just staying focus and trying to eat healthy… It was like a training camp, a boot camp but I loved it though.
Common sat down with StraightFromTheA.com and also shared a bit of information about his life lessons, his relationship with tennis star Serena Williams and revealed that he’s been dodging a crazed stalker! Continue Reading…
Big Boi aka Daddy Fat Sacks aka Sir Luscious Leftfoot aka my future ex-husband aka the son of Chico Dusty invited me for a special listening session last night at Stankonia Studios. As I was treated to a musical tour of Twan’s unrealeased cd by candlelight and kush, I felt a familiar affinity to the music. This ain’t just no regular CD y’all! I’ve already got a few favorites. I was sworn to secrecy but there’s quite a few surprises in store and I’m almost positive that Sir Luscious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty will be an instant classic.
Big Boi cleared up a few rumors last night as well, the first being that he’s signed to Def Jam. He’s not. He says that his album company came back to him with an offer he couldn’t refuse so he’s still Jive and he ain’t going nowhere.
It’s taken some time to complete this album cause classics aren’t created overnight, but from the tracks I heard, it’s well worth the wait. I talked Big Boi into going live last night and we acted a fool on UStream for a while. I dunno if it was the Kush or my company, but Big Boi eventually decided to premiere an ENTIRE song for his fans, LIVE…on air last night! The song, “For Your Sorrows” features George Clinton and Too Short and he got quite a bit of positive feedback. So much so, that he promised to send over the full HQ version in a few days.
So check out our ustream footage from last night below to listen to the world premiere of Big Boi’s “For Your Sorrows” : Continue Reading…
