Keyshia Cole and WNBA star Lisa Leslie were just two of the flawless celebs spotted at the 17th Annual Trumpet Awards in Atlanta last night. Old school legends like Tina Marie and En Vogue as well as A-town staples like Q (of 112), Bobby Valentino, Sean Garrett, Chris Tucker and Raven-Symone also graced the red carpet.

Check out a few flix from the 2009 Trumpet Awards honoree and sponsor dinner held Saturday evening at the Hyatt.  Raven-Symone (pictured above Xerona Clayton, the award’s founder), Chris Tucker, Sherri Shepherd and more came out to support the honorees.

The 16th annual Trumpet Awards were held in the “A” last weekend (as well as a monster truck rally and an Atlanta Thrashers hockey game)!  Downtown traffic was on lock…but I did navigate through in time to meet my friends at Stats to watch the game!

My favorite elf/actor/rapper, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges received the Usher Raymond Altruism Award for his philanthropy and his establishing a foundation to use music and the arts to connect to urban youth.

Since I wasn’t privy to the goings on at the awards show, I dug up a few photos of the event.  Attendees included Mayor Shirley Franklin,  Chris Tucker, Brian Jordan, Andrew Young, Keith Sweat, Frank Ski and more.

For some reason this video has been getting a lot of circulation. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan appear to be judging some kind of French comedy show. Anyhoo….the comedian, Thomas Ngijol, gets Chris Tucker to come on stage by taunting him and telling him he’s bigger than him. Chris proceeds to take the stage and show off his best Michael Jackson moves. Most of the video is in French and both Chris and Jackie look as though they don’t know what the hell is going on but it’s good for a laugh. Check it out.
