Flix ~ Ludacris Designs “A” Cap + New Era 1 Year Celebration

Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges can now add “cap designer” to his ever growing list of achievements. The spactacular rapper/entrepreneur recently designed a cap himself celebrating his love for the “A” town. ?The cap features a large Atlanta Braves “A” style crest on the side-front left that is half clear crystals on the right and half black crystals on the left. ?New Era hosted a party in his honor and to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the Atlanta Flagship store.

Shouts out to Nicole Garner of The Garner Circle PR for the invite! I strolled through the spot relatively late but managed to catch up with quite a few “A” list celebs like Killer Mike, Gorilla Zoe, Keisha Knight Pulliam and Young Joc. Former Danity Kane member D. Comedian Dave Chappelle was spotted chillin at the launch party for Prince’s “21 Nights” in New York Friday night. ?”21 Nights” is the coffee table book of photos from where Prince did 21 concerts in 21 nights. The tour was completed back in September and the book has now been released. (CLICK HERE if you missed the sneak peek of the photos.) The New York launch party was blessed by a performance by the elusive purple?mister?himself and party-goers included Chapelle, as well as Howard Stearn (with his new wife), Tom Green, Spike & Tonya Lee and Dennis Rodman (with his bag of onesies…).

Flix ~ Tyler Perry Studios Grand Opening

Tyler Perry (pictured above with date,?actress?Gelila Bekele)?kicked off the grand opening of his 200,000 sq. foot/30 acre Tyler Perry Studios facility in southwest Atlanta Saturday night. ?The formal affair attracted thousands of who’s who as local celebs rubbed elbows with worldwide stars.?

Hollywood legends Sidney Poitier, Cicely Tyson, Ruby Dee and Louis Gossett Jr. gathered with Oprah Winfrey, Hank and Billye Aaron, Andrew and Carolyn Young, Will Smith, Barry Bonds and others to celebrate the first major television and movie studio owned and run by an African-American film producer.?

Oscar winner Sidney Poiter christened the studio’s opening as several members of the writer’s guild picketed outside. ??

Young Jeezy celebrated his birthday Thursday night at Artistry in midtown Atlanta. ?I received and invitation to the event and instead of stalking Jeezy from across the street, I got to chill with him up close & personal. Ciara came through still driving her Phantom and Jermaine Dupri, Slim Thug, Maino, Trey Songz, DJ Toomp and more shared Jeezy’s presidential affair. ?There was also one very special guest on the list who had more VIP status than even Jeezy himself…his mom!

Quick Flix ~ Ford Flex Awards Atlanta’s Best Barber Shop

Rashan Ali and Kenny Burns were spotted chillaxin at the Ford Flex event in Atlanta Thursday evening. The automotive company hosted the event to award the #1 Barber Shop in Atlanta with a new Ford Flex vehicle. The event was held at a mansion in North Atlanta and Ford did it big! DJ Drama and former Atlanta Brave turned Real Estate entrepreneur Brian Jordan took in the beautiful scenery as well several Atlanta “A” listers. Personal thanks to Nikki Barjon for the invite!

Five Atlanta area shops were nominated and the finalists were Atlanta area shops were ?Arena Barber Shop, Monte’s Barber Shop, Apogee Barber Shop. ?The winner of the brand new Ford Flex was Flawless Cuts Barber Shop.?
