Newsflash! Best Man Holiday beat out ‘THOR’ in box offices across the country this weekend and while that’s great news in itself, USAToday couldn’t just write that and move along? nope. Didn’t work that way.

Instead, the media giant set off a social media firestorm Sunday with a headline that many found racially insensitive.

??Holiday? Nearly Beat ?Thor? as Race-Themed Films Soar? was the original headline that the publication posted online but only until ‘Black Twitter’ got a hold of it!

Jennifer Hudson Receives Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star! [PHOTOS]

Jennifer Hudson?has come a looooog way since those days when she finished in SEVENTH place on American Idol.

The Oscar and Grammy Award winning songstress was recently honored with the 2,512th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The multi-talented performer was filled with tears of joy as she witnessed the unveiling of her star in front of the W Hollywood Hotel on Wednesday (November 13, 2013), with her family by her side.

“I knew I would get emotional. I’m sure my mama is in heaven saying, ‘Jenny stop crying.’ But now is the time to cry mama,” Hudson said.

“I’m so honored to be here with so many that I love, and I feel as though we’re all family.”

Jennifer was joined at the ceremony by her fiance’ David Otunga, sister Julia, son David Jr., Raphael Saadiq, Clive Davis, Jacob Latimore and more.

Bishop Ron Gibson aspires to be on the board of his church, but other pastors believe his “gangsta” ways may be a bit too radical.

Lady Myesha Chaney, Lady Christy Haizlip, and Loretta sit down for lunch at the restaurant Loretta owns with Noel Jones. The ladies discuss Deitrick Haddon’s upcoming wedding and whether or not tattoos are sinful.

Myesha Chaney clearly doesn’t approve of marking one’s flesh with ink, but her husband considers one after watching Pastor Haizlip get one.

The cute couple held their first book signing at Peter’s Bar One Restaurant & Lounge yesterday (November 12, 2013) in honor of the release of their new relationship, ?Carry-on Baggage: Our Nonstop Flight.

According to the press release:

In their straight-talk couple’s memoir,?Carry-on Baggage: Our Nonstop Flight, Cynthia Bailey Thomas and Peter Thomas chronicle their journey of raising a blended family, running a mini-empire, and keeping the fire burning in marriage after age forty. The book’s title is a playful euphemism that defines all the moving pieces that come along with mid-life marriage.
