Usher Raymond got the chance to do what millionaires everywhere dream of… he rung the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange this morning (August 1, 2011).

Ursh was the honored guest of MTV and he joined MTV Networks Music/Films/Logo Group President Van Toffler and president of MTV Stephen Friedman to ring the bell as a part of MTV’s 30th Birthday celebration.

MTV, a Viacom (NYSE-Listed VIA, VIA.B) network visited the NYSE to commemorate the network’s 30th birthday.

MTV launched August 1, 1981 and continues to serve as the home for many of pop culture’s most memorable moments in music and entertainment. In honor of the occasion, Grammy-award winning recording artist Usher, along with Van Toffler, President, MTV Networks Music & Logo Group and Stephen Friedman, President of MTV rang The Opening BellSM.

I’m not feeling Ursh’s choice of attire… not one bit! 😕

At least Usher gave his outfit a thumbs up!

Seriously though, Usher’s ringing of the bell is something like a big deal.? I’m so proud right now!
