Atlanta Hawks player James Michael Scott aka ‘Mike Scott’ was arrested on drug possession charges yesterday (July 30, 2015).
Scott was arrested in Banks County, Georgia along with his 20 year-old brother, Antonn Imhotep Scott after police pulled them over on a routine traffic stop.
Scott reportedly admitted to officers there was weed in the car and when authorities searched the vehicle they found both marijuana and 10.9 grams of MDMA (aka Molly).

According to Atlanta’s WSB-TV:
Authorities say the Hawks forward was a passenger in an SUV driving north on Interstate 85.? The car was reportedly following too closely to other cars and when officers attempted to pull the men over, police say the car sped up to 98 mph and continued for two miles until it finally stopped.
Police say Scott’s brother Antonn Imhotep Scott, 20, was driving the car.
Officers say the men told them they had marijuana in the car. When police searched the vehicle, they found over an ounce of marijuana along with 10.9 grams of MDMA, also known as Molly.
Both men were arrested.
Mike Scott was charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of schedule I. A judge set his bond at $8,100.
Antonn Scott is charged with fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers, following too close, felony possession of marijuana and possession of schedule I. A judge set his bond at $9,300.
The Hawks released the following statement late Thursday evening regarding the incident:
We are aware of the situation involving Mike Scott this morning.
Out of respect for the legal process, we will not have any additional comments at this time.
