A few days ago, I revealed that actress Vivica A. Fox would be joining ‘Hollywood Divas‘ second season (click HERE if you missed that).
The series, which focuses on the challenges of aging actresses in Hollywood seems like a great fit for Vivica but apparently many seem to think her association with the show is a downgrade.
Wendy Williams recently shared her take on Vivica’s decision, stating:
?Vivica Fox, I love you, but I hate this idea. You are above this. For goodness sake, you were in Pulp Fiction! What are you doing joining the cast of Hollywood Divas? Now, there?s nothing wrong with Hollywood Divas and shows like that?but they are for a certain echelon of people.
When I think of Vivica A. Fox, I?m not comparing her to Golden Brooks, from Girlfriends. [She] was on Girlfriends; respectable career, but where has she been? She?s not supposed to be in the same room, on the same cast as Vivica A. Fox. That?s all I?m saying.?

Wendy Williams seems to feel that it’s a bad decision for Vivica and she also went on to use Mary J. Blige as an example.
Stating… ‘it’s like if Mary J. Blige joined R&B Divas’. I get the analogy but it’s not like Vivica is Halle Berry or Angela Bassett. Vivica had some great roles in her day, but I don’t think she’s the ‘Meryl Streep’ of Black Hollywood by any means.
Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Wendy has a point.
