1. She and many others have said this, the one thing that should be said to her is find a new makeup artist and not a drag queen either, that eye liner around the lips is tacky and does not work on anyone.

Martin as Shanaynay, Jamie as Wanda, Eddie Murphy in the Nutty Professor and Norbit, the Wayan’s brothers in White Chicks, and Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie. I’m sure there have been way more that I can’t remember. SNL has always has a cast member in a dress. Mike Myers used to slay me with “I’m verklempt”.

27. Okay, Michelle, I will set the record str8. I am from New Orleans and was at the Xavier University play that starred Madea. First off Tyler was not even supposed to play the part, it was supposed to be some girl that claimed she had gotten sick and couldn’t perform. Behind the scenes we were all struggling trying to figure out what was going to happn. If they were going to cxl or if someone else would fill in. the only person that knew all the lines was Tyler, so there was no other option, as most of us had payed like $5 to attend and they were not prepared to offer refunds. Tyler came out unbeknownst to 99% that he would be him performing, and the crowd literally went wild. We cheered and yelled and laughed. Trust me the whole Tyler as madea was an attempt at sabotage gone wrong. The young lady who was supposed to play her was upset about only God knows what and it literally blew up in her face. Now thats the real tea. I was there.

28. Bull, Madea has been around since "I Know I’ve Been Changed" stage play which Perry used to tour in 1998. There is no telling how long this play was written before he began his tours! Need attention, create a lie. #pathetic

    At the end of the day, when you have a good or great idea educate yourself. Do the research to find out about copyrights, trademarks, etc.

    1. I used to go to drag shows to see my friend perform and they would have an array of characters. Generally there is an old sassy lady. It always works and is good for laughs. One character that would crack me up was an aging lounge singer who flirts with the people in the crowd. The actor would say “Darling” with 30 “r’s” like black cat woman.

31. She needs to keep Tyler Perry name out her mouth if she ever wants a role in one of his plays, TV shows or movies. TP is a power house and can black list you, especially in the “A”. Outside of ATL, no one knows who shim is. He is putting drag to shame with that makeup. Whatever you do in life make sure you look good doing it, shim is not “working it”.

    It seems to me Tyler like others know people like madea and he decided to put it out since he could see people would like it.

I don’t necessarily believe Tyler Perry stole the Madea Idea for a stage play character from anyone, but let’s say he did for a minute… This is America the land of opportunity and if you have an idea you believe can make money or invention that may have a great impact on society then you need to NOT talk about it, but act on it! Once an idea is airborne(told to someone else)and you have no claim to it such as Copyright,Patent or Trademark then it is ABSOLUTELY up for grabs for ANYBODY’S taking. Remember That!

34. How many of you posting work for TPS. I don’t like this fool one bit but whose to say that the reason this drag did not come out was because the two were lover. Maybe that is why they did not complain back in the day. To N.O. from what I understand Tyler had moved from Louisiana long ago then came back with the play so maybe back in the day they did hook up as something more. The drag more than likely is mad at Tyler for dissing him as his lover now he trying to get even. A lot of these folks are on the low low. Who knows what really happened and where Tyler got Madea from. It is also said he got it from a family friend and never paid them and the the woman died of poverty. Whatever the story is I pray Tyler get it straight if any of this stuff is true.
