Mariah Carey spoke briefly with Cissy Houston backstage after announcing the start of the Whitney Houston tribute during the 2012 BET Awards last night (July 1, 2012).

I dunno if you see what I see, but both Cissy and Gary?her son are looking a Carey like ‘chillle puh-lease’!

Carey hit the stage last night and duly noted that she and Whitney were NEVER at odds and in fact, they were very close friends.

Mariah reminisced briefly and even attempted to shed a few tears… but like I said last night she completely missed the mark.
