Soulja Boy may think he has what it takes to be the “new” Tupac but does he have the “Juice” to fight a million dollar legal battle over a concert no-show?
Details PLUS behind the scenes footage of Soulja’s “Zan With That Lean” video shoot below:
According to AllHipHop, Soulja Boy, his record label Interscope Records and MySpace Music are the subjects of a $1 million dollar lawsuit over a canceled Pennsylvania concert.
TrinCity Entertainment claims that they paid Soulja a $16,250 advance to secure his performance at a concert scheduled on December 10, 2010 and he never honored his agreement.
After TrinCity had already paid $3,500 for SB’s transportation to the event and another $8,0000 to promote his performance, Interscope reps canceled the show so that Soulja Boy could perform in Hawaii the following weekend.
The lawsuit claims Interscope agreed that costs rising from the cancellation would be reimbursed by the label along with MySpace Music.
MySpace never paid their half of the agreement, according to the suit. And while Interscope eventually paid their portion, the lawsuit notes the label was late with payment, causing undue financial hardship.
Soulja Boy is listed because he unjustly kept his $16,250 deposit.
[Sidebar: Correct me if I’m wrong, but they’re suing for a milli and they only shelled out about 30G’s…. Hmmmm??? A MILLION DOLLARS??? *scratching head* Looks like someone’s on the come up!]
