Seems Kanye’s lil stunt has made it all the way to the white house! During a CNBC interview on Monday, President Obama called hip-hop artist Kanye West a “jackass” regarding his behavior during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. (Click Here to watch the video of Kanye stealing the mic from Taylor Swift at the VMAs)
Sad thing is, Obama’s remark was actually made in an off-the-record portion of the interview that was tweeted …then deleted by ABC News reporter Terry Moran. Sadly for him, the results of his twitter stream are still searchable on the site:
“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential,”
ABC subsequently released a statement apologizing for Moran’s journalistic breach:
In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.

Woooow…. Yeezy’s made the president mad! I may have to take back my original theory of this all being a set up.
