Fox TV’s Empire is bringing the HEAT this season… figuratively and literally!
This week’s episode is titled ‘The Rise of Sine’ and the popular hip-hop drama shocked fans as one of it’s main characters took a bullet and was left bleeding on the red carpet.
Hakeem struggles to find a place for his fiancé, Laura, in his career and family; Cookie reveals the truth about Freda’s father to Jamal; Jamal makes a sacrifice for Lucious.
While common sense would lead us to believe that it’s virtually IMPOSSIBLE for a main character to get killed, Jussie Smollet has hinted that he just might be gone for good!

Somewhere out there I’m sure there’s a 20-something year old reading the title with a confused look on their face! Whatever the case, two legendary R&B singers are at odds online after one blocked another on social media.

That being said, Jermaine read my post (and I’m sure he read all of your comments as well) and he’s clearly feeling somekindaway about the tell-all ‘rumor’.
The super producer hit me up in the tweets to offer a response, stating:
Notice that I asked JD for an official denial, but I’m not so sure I got one. Details below… Continue Reading…
VH1’s latest reality show controversy stems from the fact that they had the audacity to create a reality show based around women who belong to African-American sororities.
‘Sorority Sisters’ features 9 women who are members of four different Greek-letter organizations, living and socializing in Atlanta.
The series just started and many already feel that it’s missed the mark. What could have been an uplifting storyline about Black professional college grads working together, participating in community service and showing how ‘sisterhood’ actually works, is instead a basic everyday reality show showing Black woman (and one token White female) engaged in ratchet behavior.

Shocked? I don’t know why you would be. It’s been proven time and time again that positivity doesn’t work in the long run. What pays the bills is entertainment and that’s exactly what ‘Sorority Sisters’ seems to be aiming for.
There was little to no sisterly love displayed in the premiere episode and Greeks and non-Greeks alike reacted on social media, slamming the show for perpetuating negative stereotypes and alternatively lifting #SororitySister to the top of the trending charts.
Here’s what the people are saying about ‘Sorority Sisters’ online… Continue Reading…
