Last night I attented a VIP preview event at the View. The event was jam packed with ATL’s musical elite as they all came out to celebrate the upcoming February 17th launch of “Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned” with Rockstar Games, Xbox 360 and the Konsole Kingz .? Antwan “Big Boi” Patton (or Twan as I affectionately call him), Slim of 112, Mr. Collipark, DJ Cannon, DJ Drama & No ID each sat down for an up close and personal preview of the new game and some even took home limited-edition Xbox 360 “The Lost and Damned” consoles.
Check out a few more pics from the event below as well as a GTA IV Preview:
I don’t know bout all that ‘blood, intense violence’ and stuff…I’m a Wii girl myself!? *don’t shoot!* I know quite a few guys who love this ish and it looks fun enough. I guess.? Atlanta was shut down last night between the hours of 6pm and 10pm as dayum near everyone was somewhere watching Superbowl XLIII.? The 2 Live Stews of 790 The Zone held their own shindig down at Luckie Food Lounge and the event, sponsored by Crown Royal was where several ATLiens chose to view the game. Celebs spotted chillin in the VIP were Fantasia Barrino, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Quincy “Q” Parker of 112 and more.? Former Atlanta Falcons, Chuck Smith and Bob Whitfield were also spotted watching the game and drinking up all the free liquor.
My favorite celebrity photographer, Derek Blanks unveiled his new and improved website last weekend during an event hosted by NeNe Leakes of the Atlanta Housewives. The event was held at 595 North Friday evening and the walls were ablaze with Derek’s masterpieces.? From Jennifer Hudson to Monica…From Akon to Usher and from T.I. to David Banner. Derek has shot them all.
I managed to arrive LATE and without my memory card in my camera!? The life of a blogger… *sigh* but I love Derek so much that I prepared a lil montage video from the event in his honor. Check it out below:
Shouts out to Derek’s assistant, Robert Ector and make-up artist Toni Acey!
Derek’s photography is nothing less than spectacular and he’s well known for turning images into art. I’m still saving my pennies for my Alter Ego photoshoot (and currently taking donations!) but you can hit up Derek at his new site, DBlanks.com to view his work and/or to contact him for your next shoot.
