Actor Gary Dourdan was arrested by California police and charged with possession of cocaine, heroin, and Ecstasy. 41 year old Dourdan was found slumped over behind the wheel of his car at around 5 AM. When police woke him, he appeared to be under the influence.
The car had been parked on the wrong side of the street with the interior light left on, and Dourdan appeared to be disoriented and “possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs” when approached by an officer, the statement said.
The officer found substances believed to be cocaine, heroin, Ecstasy and various prescription drugs, as well as drug paraphernalia, police said.
Dourdan was arrested, booked for possession of narcotics and dangerous drugs and jailed for about five hours before he was released on $5,000 bail, police said. (Source)
It is also rumored that Dourdan’s contract with C.S.I. wasn’t renewed due to his drug abuse.

Atlanta transplant and platinum R&B artist, Akon (whose real name is Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam…no for real…it is!) has recently been called out by one of my favorite sites. TheSmokingGun revealed today that the singer has lied about his criminal past and is not as “Gangsta” as he professes…
While the performer’s rap sheet does include a half-dozen arrests, Akon has only been convicted of one felony, for gun possession. That 1998 New Jersey case ended with a guilty plea, for which the singer was sentenced to three years probation. Another 1998 bust, this one in suburban Atlanta, has been seized upon by Akon and transformed into the big case that purportedly sent him to prison (thanks to his snitching cohorts) for three fight-filled years. In reality, Akon was arrested for possession of a single stolen BMW and held in the DeKalb County jail for several months before prosecutors dropped all charges against him.
So there was no conviction. There was no prison term between 1999 and 2002. And he was never “facing 75 years,” as the singer claimed in one videotaped interview.
Now Knee-grows lyin bout time they DIDN’T spend in jail! What is this world coming to??

Dr. Jan Adams became well known in the hip-hop community as the doctor who performed the plastic surgery on Kanye West’s mother, Dr. Donda West, prior to her death. I was also familiar with the Dr. through my obsession with Discovery TV’s Before & After show. I always thought Dr. Adams was fine but after all the drama surrounding Kanye’s mom’s death, he suddenly lost his appeal.
Well in case you were wondering what Dr. Adams has been up to, Page Six is reporting today that the bachelor is still in the mix and is in Palm Beach living the single life. He is currently dating socialite Ildiko Varga of Varga Crystal.
The two were introduced by their attorney. I guess that guarantees a safe and happy union…

Yet another one for the mugshot gallery! NBA star Carmelo Anthony, 23, was arrested by Colorado police and charged with drunk driving. According to the cops, Melo was pulled over after police saw his silver Mercedes weaving and failing to dim its lights. He subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests and was taken to a Denver Police Department lockup where he consented to a blood test and posed for the above mug shot. (Source)

Ice…Ice Baby! Former fake rapper Vanilla Ice (aka Robert Van Winkle) was arrested the other day for allegedly beating his wife…..AGAIN!
According to the arrest report, Laura Van Winkle appeared uninjured, but told cops she wanted a divorce from the star. But she is reported to have reneged on her earlier allegations, insisting her husband had not hit or kicked her, but had pushed her.
She is alleged to have told a police officer, “He started yelling at me for going out to buy a bedroom set. In front of my daughter. I’m sorry I can’t say any more until I talk to an attorney.” Robert, 40, told cops about the couple’s two-day fight, admitting he called his wife “nuts”, and said his wife is bipolar and takes medication but still has ‘irrational episodes’. He denied the allegations he pushed his wife. (Source)
He was also charged with the same crime in 2001. In that incident he pulled out his wife’s hair during an agument. One question…why isn’t he locked up yet?? Nevermind….his wife’s crazy too.

Gun charges have been dropped against Atlanta rapper Fabo (aka Lafabian Williams) of the group D4L. Fabo, whose the originator of the white sunglasses fad that SouljaBoy is also known for, was charged in February of 2006 along with Curtis Alfonso Watkins by South Carolina cops after a traffic stop.
Fabo, a convicted felon, was charged with possession of marijuana and ecstasy, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and carrying a concealed weapon.
However, on Tuesday, the district attorney’s office decided not to pursue the charges against Fabo, after his co-defendant Watkins accepted full responsibility for the guns and drugs. (Source)
I guess the stars were aligned for Bankhead alumni this week…either THAT or T.I. hooked Fabo up with his attorney! At any rate check out one of my favorite Fabo compilations after the jump…

“While I’m not looking forward to being incarcerated, I have a long road of redemption to travel,” Harris said, reading a statement outside the Atlanta federal courthouse shortly before 3 p.m. “I am dedicated and committed to that.”
U.S. District Court Judge Charles Pannell Jr. scheduled Harris’ sentencing a year from now, on March 27, 2009. If Harris abides by the conditions set in his plea agreement, he will receive a prison sentence of one year plus one day. Because the sentence is longer than one year, Harris will be eligible to earn 15 percent time off for good behavior.
Harris also was fined $100,000.
Over the next year, Harris must perform at least 1,000 hours of community service, which includes speaking to “at-risk young people,” promoting respect for law enforcement, and opposing violence, illegal and reckless use of firearms, illegal drugs and gang activity. (Source)
