I received some sad news yesterday morning that actor Tommy Ford (real name Thomas Mikal Ford) was on life support after suffering a ruptured aneurysm but I honestly, didn’t want to believe it.
Sadly, the popular actor/director has died.
The erroneous tweet was deleted, but it was soon revealed that Ford was actually in an Atlanta area hospital suffering from a ruptured aneurysm.
Ford’s wife Gina confirmed to TMZ, that he had had been hospitalized since Sunday and was on life support from complications of an aneurysm in his abdomen. TMZ reported yesterday that Ford was not expected to make it through the day, and sadly, he didn’t.
Tommy Ford’s family later confirmed news of his death via social media with the following post:
Fans of the popular sitcom will always fondly remember Tommy as the one who was always headed to work but none of his friends believed he had a job.
But in ‘REAL LIFE” the skilled actor was never without a work. Ford appeared on several successful sitcoms, including “New York Undercover,” “The Jamie Foxx Show” and “The Parkers.”
Ford also wrote children’s books that promoted drug-free and violence-free lifestyles.
