The streets have been talking for days now about how DJ Drama, salty about Drake’s decision to boot him from his last mixtape project, sold reference tracks to Meek Mill which exposed that Quentin Miller wrote some of the hooks.
Meek hit the net with a twitter rant about Drake thatsparked the slew of diss tracks that have basically made Meek this week’s online joke.
Who knew that DJ Drama’s pettiness was the spark that lit this whole historic 2015 rap battle!
For those of you who care, this whole Meek Mill/Drake rap ‘beef’ seems to be the result of a chatty cathy named DJ Drama.
Apparently Drama was originally supposed to host Drake’s mixtape but Drake chose to ditch him as the host and instead released the tape as an album of throwaways. A loyal reader sent over the following info:
DJ Drama got upset and became spiteful. He took the ref tracks, which showed that Atlanta rapper Quentin Miller wrote 3 hooks/choruses (Used To, Know Yourself, 10 Bands) and around 20-22 bars collectively (4-6 on Rico, 16 on 10 Bands) which Drake kept.
Drake credited Miller on the album as a co-writer but Drama still saw an opening.
He sold the ref tracks to Meek Mill, confident that Meek would ruin/body Drake. However, things did not go in Meek’s favor.
Cause everybody loves Drake?? What’s not to love?? 😆
Now that the world knows how Meek got his ‘Tea’, Drama is getting blasted online. He tweeted his disappointment, stating:
Drama is also said to be the person who told Meek about Drake accidentally getting pissed on. Lil Duval even chimed in on that one…
In the meantime, Drake has won the rap battle so far and is even prepping a third response that will reportedly be called ‘Threepeat’.
Welp… it looks like Drama was on the wrong team cause Drake is clearly winning!
