MTV?s ‘Catfish’ returned with for the 4th season last night with a special guest host.

Nev Schulman is back but cameraman and co-host Max Joseph has a production gig that will prevent him from appearing on a few shows. Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God of The Breakfast Club is first up as guest host this season and he brought some much needed new energy to the show.

This week is all about a young lady named Miracle from Milwaukee who has been corresponding for a few months with “Javonni Santos,” a ‘music producer’ in Atlanta who she met on Instagram.

‘Javonni’ has sold Miracle a ton of dreams but they’ve never met, so Charlamagne assists Nev in the investigation to find out if Miracle has been ‘Catfished’…

VIDEO: Catfish – Season 4, Episode 1

In the season 4 premiere of CATFISH, Miracle reveals that she’s been talking to Javonni? for a few months and he claimed he moved from Milwaukee to Atlanta after being signed to T.I.’s grand hustle.

‘Javonni’ also shared that his sister has Lupus and Miracle says she doesn’t think that anyone would lie about such a thing. (Strike 1)

Miracle and Javonni have only communicated through text messages and phone calls. When asked why she’s never Skyped with him, Miracle says Javonni always came up with excuses like he lost his passwords. (Strike 2)

When Nev and Charlamagne try to track down ?Javonni? through a phone search, they come across a guy named Rickie Witherspoon who looks NOTHING like the photos on Javonni’s Instagram.

Charlamagne decides to post ‘Javonni’s photo online asking if anyone knows the Atlanta producer and he finds out his true identity.

It seems the ‘Javonni’ in the photos is actually a dude by the name of Jonathan who has no idea his photo is being used to lure women. He agrees to Skype in and tells Miracle he knows no one in Milwaukee and it wasn’t him. (Strike 3 – It’s all downhill from here!)

The focus then turns to Rickie Witherspoon, who’s name is connected to ‘Javonni’s phone number. When Nev contacts him, Witherspoon acts really shady and tells him that he?s ready for the situation to be over sends over an address to meet him.

Rickie comes outside and Miracle’s first response is ‘HELL NAW!’? The man on the porch is definitely NOT the green eyed cutie she’d been corresponding with… not even close!? In addition to that, dude is acting strange and makes everyone come inside the house.

Can it get any weirder?? Ummmm… Yes.

Rickie begins pacing from room to room and everyone is on edge. Charlamagne even notices a ton of prescription drugs in the corner.

That’s when the REAL catfish is revealed! Rickie Witherspoon’s wife! And it doesn’t end there. *sigh*

While no one was injured in the episode, it did have it’s questionable moments.

All I know is… there’s a ‘Catfish’ born every minute and with all the technology available today, I don’t understand how. SMH…
