It was just a few weeks ago that Attorney Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta filed a huge multi-million dollar lawsuit against VIBE Magazine over scandalous accusations made in a book they published.

As you know, VIBE financially backed an online book and has publicly backpedaled on the facts published in the memoirs, written by an ex-con.
Now VIBE has to not only answer to the lies they spewed about Parks, but her mother, Pastor Regina Bell, has followed suit and filed one of her own!

Regina Bell, the mother of the successful “housewife”, recently filed a similar lawsuit against VIBE regarding the online book “Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil.”
Bell says the publishing company, Vibe Holdings, is financially liable for any damages to her character caused by the distributino of the book in which the author accuses Bell of “witch-doctory” and concocting potions to abort children.
Phaedra’s mom says all of the accusations are totally false, and says she has been a respected preacher in her community for over 33 years.
According to the legal documents, Bell is demanding a retraction of the statements PLUS $6 million in damages from VIBE, saying she never created any potions, or offered to help abort unborn children and that she has been publicly hated and ridiculed because of the book. (source)

Hahahaha! Poor Vibe may as well get ready to shut down. I’m sure they don’t have that much money to lose. Like I’ve said before, this was a very dumb move on their part. Did they not think of the fallout that could ensue from this. Oh well! I hope Phaedra and her mom win. They deserve it.

I look at this situation like a high profile murder case. The defense says that thier is enough evidence to put this person away blah! blah! blah!
Then a year later when everyone goes to court either 3 things will happen
1. The defense has not case and the accuser walks away a free man/woman (or vibe have evidence to back up and will walk)
2. The defense has insufficient evidence (but enough evidence to work out a deal)
3. or the defense is on it’s game and the person will either get life/death
I said all that to either vibe have evidence to back up and will pay nothering or Vibe will settle, or vibe will pay out,
It’s all about the end result.

I can’t believe Vibe didn’t fact check this story before backing the book. Surely they have attorneys of their own to do the leg work before putting something out that could be potentially damaging to another party. This is going to get real ugly before it’s all said and done…

A mother-daughter team in which the daughter is a high-powered attorney and the mother is a pastor CANNOT lose.
How is it Phaedrea has a huge gap between her teeth on RHOA picture, but doesn’t have one in the picture with her mom?

So far it is that girls word against there’s, so someone on which every side has got to produce some evidence that the allegations are false. In a court of law, he say-she say is not going to fly and it seems that Angela is still talking. So if the book is all lies, not a single piece of truth..why are they suing VIBE and wanting a retraction . Vibe can retract all day long but that doesn’t stop Ms. Stanton (I believe) from talking and spreading the rumors and from other things I have read on it. She is not backing down off her claims and VIBE is not buckling. Do you want the truth or money. Oh I guess as long as you get the money, people can talk all they want. And Phaedra, a high-powered attorney..thats funny. Lets see she represented DRAMA, who is now in jail, 2 short, who is oh well too short, and Bobby Brown. I guess the Cochran firm is knocking at her door.
That lying author lady should have named that farce of a book "Lies of a convicted felon" and she might not be in as much trouble as she is today!

It’s all ridiculous. Again, why isn’t mama Parks suing Angela Stanton? Why isn’t Apollo suing Vibe and Angela. She put more dirt out about Apollo than her mother. Phaedra and her mother need to take several seats. They are trying to save face.

How could they sue Angela what money does she really have? True the publishing company should have made sure they can back up all claims. The concoction given was only, in another article I found, was only given to Ms. Stanton and Phaedra. Phaedra is not going to tell on her mom, so its Ms. Stanton word against hers. After the stunts she let go in her church concerning her grandsons christening, I am almost convinced that she is not on the up and up either.

I don’t watch the show period, so I don’t care about their lives or some bs, but the comments are entertaining. But, my question to you all is,what if everything she said is true? Why are you all so quick to believe this mom/daughter duo? She could have written a book about anybody on the show or in the world and she chose them, I have to wonder why. I might just read the book, just b/c everyone is so dead set against hating this woman.
Also I’m so tired of people suing over every thing. Geesh! If it’s true it’s true, if not then the people who know you wont be phased by it, but to sue is just ridiculous. I don’t think that it’s because we don’t believe Angela Felon, it’s just that we like Phaedra. We don’t know and haven’t seen this Angela chic enough to consider liking her, and because she described her crime to us, I doubt that we ever would. It’s all about appearance and attitude. So far,Phae Phae has kept her act together and we like that. She didn’t turn Angela Felon in,that’s Angela’s fault. How can they sue over a book that wasn’t really published in the first place and was not written by Vibe magazine staff?
