The official video for Usher Raymond‘s hot new single “Climax,” the first single from his upcoming album, has finally been released.
In the visual, which he shot right here in Atlanta, Usher is clearly feelin’ some kinda way after finding his ex-girl has another guy in her life and he faces a huge dilemma as speeds to her home packing heat.
“Going nowhere fast… we’ve reached our Climax.”
As Usher sits in his car outside her home watching her interact with a new dude, he impulsively grabs his gun from the glovebox and rushes in.
What happens next is left to your vivid imagination.

@ the 3:17 mark in the video, after he runs in the house, you’ll see what looks like 2 quick flashes of light in the window where she had been standing. Could it have been the muzzle flash from 2 gunshots????

I really like this video…a bit stalkerish, yes. However, it was definitely a break away from his norm. Love the way it was shot as well. Reminds me of "Stan" by Em.

DISLIKE. I agree with Jennifer. Having been a victim of an abusive ex, that broke into my home. That I’ve had to press charges on. That I’ve had to get a restraining order against. That’s threatened me and my family with a 9mm, I find nothing interesting or creative about this video. In the time that we are living, so many men attacking and killing their ex’s(Remember the man that doused his ex in gas and set her on fire in the elevator?) this video is a HUGE disappointment! I liked the song prior to this video. Not so much now.
Great video Usher. It just sucks that so many people are simple minded and didnt even recognize that your video was shot from 3 points of views. The things in this video weather we like it or not are all part of life. He shows a man that is sitting outside of his exes house weighing out his options.
Option 1. Do I go in and get myself or someone else hurt just by acting on my emotions?(hence he never showed who got shot)
Option 2. Do I go get my girl we run off together and start all over?
Option 3. Do I just give up and let it burn?Understand what we had is gone and walk away?(Hence is what he did in the end)

I agree that the video shows 3 scenarios, but also think it wasn’t clearly outlined that way to leave room for individual interpretation. Either way the song and the video are both HOTTTT! Ursh is BAAAAAACK!!! Loving CLImax!!!

Great art is often "controversial," at the least the kind that matters so applaud him from deviating from what he has been and at least attempting to put some thought into it.
As for those who have dealt with these topics, my heart goes out for you. But NOTHING ever gets done by shying away from the problems that are ongoing. There is a documentary about rape of women in the US Military that is "controversial." And some may not want to view given the painful truths it reveals, but that doesn’t mean we shove it aside.
You can’t implement change or address issues if all you want to do is throw it in the closet and lock the door. Like it or not, the entertainment industry is a medium for art, and art the source which garners exposure to issues that we as a society need to deal with. So if this video gets people talking, gets people angry, ruffles feathers, makes people research things more, helps to inspire politicans to handle these ordeals more effectively to do more preventative actions versus reactive..I am ALLLL for it.

For those who don’t get it, he’s in the car thinking about the possibilities of what will happen if he gets out of the car. Aka the sex, the shooting, the car crash. He then chooses to walk away instead in the end, which is why he drives off after all the reflecting he did in the car.

This video shows that he is torn and fighting something in his relationship status. I see more than a singer when i watch this, I see an embattled artist that is in love and confused, nothing will tell me different. He’s battling emotion.

I agree with James Barnes, This exactly why our young people are so confused on how to handle relationship issues and breakups, these music videos are so damaging to these young boys and girls. Regardless of the the outcome of the video, handling a breakup is hard enough for most of our youngsters to go through. Dealing with the hurt and pain is devastating and to see a video like this only deeply plant deadly thoughts in their already confused and hurt hearts. Praying none of them act out on what they see on this video because of a broken heart, so why would Usher make such a video knowing that young girls and boys are watching him, admiring his every move. Why would he even want to put these types of deadly ideas in a young kids head. And you call your self a role model to our young!!!!! Iv’e lost a female family member exactly in this manner and do not think this was a cool move on your part. Domestic violence is running rapid, what the hell is wrong with you are you all running out of ideas and shit to sing about? If you are gonna sing about this shit how about in some type of positive way, and not being the cause of more abuse and Domestic violence. When I first heard the song I was in the other room from where the tv was. The song sounded great. So when I walked in to see the video I see one scenario with a very passionate love scene happening right before the husband(or boyfriend) walked in. Then I saw another scenario with usher goin into the house and shooting the husband(or boyfriend) bc I highly DOUBT that he shogt the girl. Regardless off who he killed in his mind it is still being showcased for us to see it. There is something very wrong this video but this is definitely not the only video, movie, or show. Bottomline, tv is getting too bad. The worst part is that people are so desensitized to red flags that they don’t see anything wrong in anything nowadays. So i guess the video screenwriter did his job successfully.
