In having experienced several high (and low) profile relationships in and around the “A”, Kandi (who celebrated her 35th birthday earlier this year) officially designated herself as somewhat of a sex-pert, by starting a late night talk show where she and a few friends would dish on sex and relationships.
Now Kandi has gone even further and launched her own line of sex toys. Burruss held a launch party for the line last week at The Marquee in NYC (August 16, 2011).
“Bedroom Kandi” is in partnership with OhMiBod and Kandi says her new toy line “strives to be a catalyst in shifting cultural attitudes toward personal pleasure and its important role in one’s sexual health and well being.”

I kind of feel sorry for the eternally single Kandi Burruss. She has a child now (a very sweet one, at that). She has an amazing career and work drive. But she surrounds herself with people who don’t necessarily reflect what she wants in life. Why in the world would her mother ask her for a sex toy for her birthday, btw???
I don’t understand some of these parents today. Kandi’s mother is too old for that mess, and she’s from the south. WHAT IS HER ISSUE?? You set boundaries with your children, and respect those boundaries – don’t come dragging your children into your mess by telling them to get you a sex toy. That shouldn’t even be a point of discussion between a parent and a child.
I stopped watching the show after that mess; I realized I couldn’t relate to these people as a Black person. They don’t reflect Black values We respect our elders and social hierarchy between parents, children, elders, etc. are so important to us. I can’t relate to the madness they’re airing on tv, trying to pass as Black culture. PLEASE.
Kandi Burruss and the word "sex toy" in the same sentence are so nasty to me. The fact that she’s eternally single, and trying to push sex toys just makes the image all the more worse. She needs to put some effort into being with men who are emotionally available at her professional equals. Stop doing so much charity work with dudes and trying to help/fix them.
