Am I the only one who’s been missing the antics of Huey, Riley & Granddad? Well don’t fret…cause according to Aaron McGruder, mastermind behind the hit adult cartoon series, there will be a Season 3 coming soon. Most likely in early 2010. The TV-MA-rated satire first premiered on Adult Swim in 2005. The first season, which consisted of 15-episodes, ended on March 19, 2006. The second season premiered on October 8, 2007 and consisted of 15 episodes; however only 13 episodes were aired.
Can you believe we’ve been watching re-runs for over 2 years now? Series creator, Aaron McGruder, speaks of the show on his TWITTER and confirmed recently that the third season is currently under production and due to air in early 2010. As proof that they’re in the production stages, Aaron tweeted out a few screenshots of the new season and you may be surprised at how the characters are aging. He also gave us a bit of insight on a few new characters:
Man… if y’all thought Ruckus was mean, what til you see his father and grandmother! Season 3 is coming, just can’t say when. Patience!

In this age of social networking and financial hardships, no one wants to lose their job over some bullshhh… but that’s exactly what’s been happening lately. First it was the Atlanta train operator who was suspended from his job after being caught texting by a passenger who posted pics on twitter, then there was those 3 dumb “A”zz teachers who got caught up in a FaceBook love triangle. Oh…and let’s not forget lil miss ‘I had a beer on vacation and got fired after I posted pics on my FaceBook page“. Granted, each case is completely different, but the underlying cause is the same…. SOCIAL NETWORKING! This time it’s FaceBook to blame again. A Canadian woman on long-term sick leave says she lost her disability benefits because her insurance agent located photos of her on Facebook in which she appeared to be having too much fun.
Nathalie Blanchard has been on leave from her job at IBM in Bromont, Quebec, for the last year undergoing treatment for depression and was receiving monthly sick-leave benefits from her companies disability insurance. Blanchard’s payments ceased unexpectedly and when the employee called her insurance company to inquire about her funds, she was told she was no longer considered disabled because of photos on her Facebook page. Rihanna sported a brand new tatt when she hit the stage last night during her 2009 American Music Awards performance, an ode to the title of her upcoming CD, “Rated R.” For those of you who think Rih Rih has enough ink, don’t fret. According to the Huffington Post, the “Rated R” tatt is temporary and she’ll be as good as new tomorrow.
Rihanna plugged her upcoming “Rated R” album with a (fake) tattoo of the album title down her throat at the American Music Awards Sunday night. She came out a gurney and performed a combo of “Wait Your Turn” and “Hard,” both from the new album wearing a white bondage jumpsuit made of strips, skin, and a collar of bullets.
Closer view of the “Rated R” (fake) tatt…

Chris Brown didn’t have anything else to do last night, so he hit up his twitter account to touch base with a few of his fans. Just as Jay-Z took to the stage during the 2009 American Music Awards to accept his award for Favorite Hip Hop Male Artist, Chris twittered “Cornball” during the speech. Coincidence? I think not. Especially since the “MechanicalDummy” deleted the tweet and then spent the rest of the night tryna explain it!

Jennifer Lopez returned to the stage after I dunno how many years last night only to take a fall during her performance. I was in the middle of either talking ish or pouring another glass of wine and missed all the live hoopla. Fortunately for me, Twitter peeps kept it poppin and promptly announced J-Lo’s fall. It didn’t take long for the video to but check out a few still pictures of her dissent:
Here she is going UP….
and there she is going down…(that had to hurt)

Whitney Houston was spotted in the audience of the 2009 American Music Awards with her baby girl, Bobbi Kristina, by her side. OK I take that back, Lil Bobbi Kris is all grown up now and I heard she’s actually looking forward to a singing career of her own. I’m sure witnessing her Mom’s spectacular performance last night helped seal the deal for her. Isn’t it refreshing to see Whitney back on her “A” game?
Whitney performed “Didn’t Know My Own Strength” and was honored with the 2009 International Artist of the Year Award, which was presented to her by Samuel L. Jackson, who read the inscription below:
