NEWSFLASH!!! The Cosby Show’s Elvin Tibideaux (Geoffrey Owens) just landed a brand new job!

If you’ve been under a rock for the past two weeks, a picture surfaced showing the actor working at Trader Joe’s and almost immediately job-shaming ensued.

Several outlets were blasted for attempting to degrade a man who was making an honest living and Owen’s was forced to quit his job after he got too much media attention (click HERE if you missed that).

Well ‘a set back is a set up for a come back’ as now Owen’s has secured a long term gig on another sitcom thanks to Tyler Perry!

Geoffrey Owens has been a hot topic this week and at least one of his former Cosby Show co-stars is showing support publicly.

As you know, the 57-year-old actor became the subject of several headlines after he was shamed for having a job at Trader Joe’s and the publicly even prompted Tyler Perry to offer him a job (click HERE if you missed that).

Now that Owens has gotten a social media boost to his acting career, former Cosby Show co-star, Keshia Knight Pulliam has decided to reconnect after 10 years.

Meet Karma Lawrence, the shopper who snapped candid photos of former The Cosby Show actor Geoffrey Owens working at Trader Joe’s.

As previously reported, Owen’s revealed he had been working at the New Jersey store for 15 months ‘out of necessity’ between short-term acting gigs and teaching, but he has now quit because of the unwanted attention he has received.

Now that photos’ origination has been identified, the shopper has been publicly humiliated as well and in a recent interview Lawrence admits she regrets she ever took the pics.

Actor Geoffrey Owens, best known for his role on The Cosby Show, became a social media trending topic this past weekend after being spotted working behind the cash register at Trader Joe’s.

Several media outlets including Fox News attempted to shame the 57-year-old actor by posting images of his sighting, however the news didn’t garner the negative attention they hoped.

In fact, it totally backfired as many rallied in support of the actor earning an honest living.

Owens subsequently quit his job and is now speaking out about all of the attention he received online.
