The video was recorded years ago when Justin was 15, and while it had been talked about, no one had actually seen the footage until TMZ released it recently.
Of course there’s been a carefully crafted apology and several of Beiber’s celebrity ‘n-word’ friends have shown support for the pop star.

The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is an organization historically built on hate, but that doesn’t mean the members of their exclusive group can’t have a rally on the steps of Georgia’s state capital building, which is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta.
For those of you unfamiliar with the KKK:
The Ku Klux Klan (KKK), informally known as the Klan or the “Hooded Order”, is the name of three distinct past and present far-right organizations in the United States, which have advocated extremist reactionary currents such as white supremacy, white nationalism, and anti-immigration, historically expressed through terrorism.
The rally was apparently held March 1, 2014 and a young man who calls himself “Stacey the CEO” caught a bit of it on video and posted it online.

Lemon piggybacks on the subject of the video to discuss the “thug cycle” and whether or not the term “thug” is racist.
Who better to ask about the word ‘thug’ than the guy who calls himself Slim Thug? The down south rapper revealed his perception of the word, as well as recounting his experiences with racism.
